Recently I downloaded a driver for my sound card to boost the sound on my speakers.
That worked fine but I noticed the my headsets microphone was no longer recognised to the computer.

I tried turning the on button on the microphone On and Off and Turning the volume On and off.
I've shut down the computer and turn it back on but no luck.
I've also tried trying the back Microphone Jack as well as the front jack.

The headphones work fine but the microphone on wont be reconsigned on the computer?

Help would be appreciated.

Your situation is most puzzling hmm..... what OS?

Plug the headset/mic cable into the standard mic jack, and go to Control Panel > Sound > Input.

Does is say 'Plugged in' under 'Line In'? Also right click on 'Line In' and ensure it's not disabled.

Windows 7 x64 Ultimate.
And the Headphone are Steel Series 7H.


It just says Front Panel Jack and "Microphone"
But it also says that's for all the vacant jacks.

what?

just use the official latest release, unless it's an asus card, then use the asio release
