My pc is pixelating, enlarged, fuzzy and basically just screwed.

So, this morning I was on my computer and it was all fine and good, then i left it for about 2 hours.
I come back and its still fine but as soon as i run call of duty 4, it freezes and black patches pop up everywhere.
I have no idea why, could be overheated, but i have the air-conditioner going..

Specs from memory;
Asus P5KPL motherboard.
Nvidia GeForce 8500GT
4gb of ram.

they're all pretty old and stuff, I know.

Could it just be that they're worn out? or is there another explanation.

But, the other thing is I have a Logitech G15 keyboard (gay, i know).
and it usually just has the option to open itunes and what not, except on the screen it came up with little messages like arab protesters downed in Iraq, something about NATO, 30 people dead in Cuba and all this other shit.

do i have a virus or something?

Pictures of the screen, only a 5MP phone camera /:
- xfire notification

- startup

- loading screen

- desktop

- what the screen looks like most of the time.

If anyone has any information please help ASAP.

thanks alot, Sphinx.

my friend once had the same/similar problem as seen here:

He also owned a 8500GT at that time, and resolved the issue by purchasing a new card.
So it's most likely/certainly your gpu.

Could do with a new graphics card anyway mate.

Post the following details:

What have you already got?
What do you need?
What does the computer have to do?
What is your budget?
