Been using a microsfot multimedia keyboard for ever and well its time to change and these mechanical keyboards look like the way to go. I see every one recomends a Filco and Leopold as the best but they are just a straight keyboard and i want some macro buttons to play with. As for my mouse i have a logitech g9 and i just find it way to small for my hand and a deathadder is basically the same amount of buttons. I used to have a mx510 which was a much better fitting for my hand. This is what i have found so far that looks suitable. they seem to be the most recomended mouse keyboard options on here and they are just not what i am after its time for some macro lazyness!.

Keyboard
Tt estpors Meka G unit (this is the most worst name i have ever seen)
Corsair vengeance K90
Both are mechanical keyboards with macro buttons.

Mouse
Razer mamba
Razer naga epic
More buttons than a standard mouse, looks like wireless option is now reliable for gaming?

If any one has one of these or has another suggestion please do so.

i got the g unit, its a pretty solid keyboard, alot of people will say get the filco, also bought the Tt eSPORTS Black 4000dpi mouse and it seems pretty good so far, im probably only liking it because my hand doesn't sweat like it does with the deathadder lol.

Cool thanks for the feedback about the keyboard good to know silly name but a good product and $30 cheaper than the corsair. From what i have found/ read on reviews -
The g unit uses Cherry Black Mechanical Key Switches
The Corsair uses Cherry Red Mechanical Key Switches
This most likely explains some of the $30 difference in price tag (Also full backlit keys) but what is actually better between these switches, presume the red?

yeah its the plastic, the mx518 does it to me too, but i love that mouse to death, this new mouse though, has a rubber coating so i don't sweat anywhere near as much as i do with DA or mx518.

This is unsurprising.

@OP:

Leopold fc500r/Filco majestouch keyboard.

Check out lantern's mouse thread, also the mamba and naga are extremely poor choices. Personally I'd go with a deathadder or an abyssus (only on a hard mouse pad).

there is other decent mice out there besides the deathadder..personally i got annoyed with it after 2 years cause it just got dirty so easy.. but i do know its a good mouse, design material could have been better though.

Filco
Deathadder
They have no macro keys . although i have no experience with any macro key use as of yet and dont know how much i can put to actual use in gaming but they will be there for future use (i do have some ideas what i want to use them for just dont have any right now). I do play a wide range of games like mmorpgs, rts and fps.
As for the mouse pad i do have a ice mat, and a razer exactmat x control that i am testing. I found the hand sweat/ condensation with the ice mat makes your hand stick to the pad making it very hard to use unless you get some powder to dry up your hand if it gets bad on a particular warm day.

I used the K60, though I don't see the K90 being any better.

The switches feel horrible even for reds, the design shows they were trying so hard to show off when all they need to rely on to sell a product is their name and something that performs, poor build quality, no thought to dull the edges of the aluminium (I actually cut my hand), terrible level that makes use of the awkward palm rest almost a necessity etc etc..

For the money you'll spend on the K90 you can do better.

People need to get over bells and whistles, performance and build quality are paramount.

Macro keys are a gimmick that keeps people buying terrible keyboards.
