A big weekend was had at the Sydney Gamers League maiden outing for 2012, and it deserves an epic post of the action I was a part of, but also of the action that Gamestah managed to put together for the weekend's Call of Duty 4, and it's community. We managed to get to 10 matches in some shape or form, we took a ton of photos and even managed a few interviews. Below is a summary of the matches, the interviews, and a short gallery of some of the photos I took from the event.
Of course, don't forget you can find all of the games, coverage and more on the Gamestah website, and the entire gallery of photos on the Gamestah Facebook page here for day 1, and here for day 2.

Matches
Day 1 - Match 1 -Arcanum-Team 2 vs. Enigma
Enigma somehow seeded in the Amateur division of the LAN's CoD4 comp as the top seed due to their CSS background. It would not help them against the very well drilled, albeit exceptionally casual Arcanum second team. B-Ray and myself are the casters on this one. File can be found here, or you can watch in the below embedded player. B-Ray and myself were the casters.

Interviews
With some extra downtime on the Sunday morning, I grabbed a SuperRoach and we did a few laps of SGL6 looking for some dudes to talk to. The good thing about the CoD4 community is their willingness to participate and to always have a laugh or talk seriously about various topics. The interviews that ensued were a good combination of both, and I enjoyed being part of them all. So here they are:
Exile 5 Setting Up
Not really an interview as such, but a nice starter for the chats held over the morning. A bit of fun was had as the Exile 5 boys got ready for their day of finals activity. Shoot over the the Gamestah site for the original, or catch the embed view here.

Photos
Of course, in addition to the matches played and the interviews were some great pictures from the weekend that I managed to grab in between casts and generally as the weekend progressed. Enjoy the gallery of players in and out of the action. Again, don't forget more photos can be seen on the Gamestah Facebook page here for day 1, and here for day 2.
