Your attempt to point out that everyone has/should know of Kurt Cobain is flawed. You obviously have because you obviously had/have an interest in his music. Those who are not of age to have grown up with his music will have a less likely chance to have heard of him.

Putting out obviously as a comment is disgustingly assumptive and chain obviously quotes should be removed.

My "interest in his music" includes, and is limited to, listening to smells like teen spirit when I was like 12.

Not quite man. People who were around before, after and during his life have heard of him. You are right to some degree in that people who have heard of him think people that haven't have been living under a rock and perhaps wrongfully. But like myself for example, I had hardly listened to his music (obviously knew like the main riff of "Teen Spirit" etc) until probably quite recently. But afaik I have like known about Nirvana and Cobain for as long as I can remember. We were trying to explain to "this guy" that its one of those things that people just have as general knowledge and you can't really remember when or how you learnt of their existence or importance or whatever, you just KNOW. Surely there are others that can back me up on this.

You are once again assuming that everyone has heard of him and if they haven't they are a mutation between an animal that resides under a rock and a human mammal in which needs space to live.

I don't need to type an essay to explain my point simply being don't assume everyone has heard of him. In addition stop making stupid and pointless threads to find out if everyone (who cares and is apart of the CG community) if they have heard of a musician that committed suicide a generation ago.

My initial reaction was that you took my original comment far too seriously.

My reaction after re-reading your comments about 30 minutes later was exactly the same.

Sorry for typing the same way I would be talking to someone. Please don't try to belittle people in an attempt to make your point seem more valid, because I believe (and hope the majority of people voting/posting in this thread will show) that you are wrong.

On a side note
