not sure if any of you have come accross this error but its a first for me. When i try to open CS:S from steam it comes up with "you do not have enough disk space available to run this game. Please free up some disk space and then try again":

- first off HDD is only 50% full plenty of space
- when i "verify intergrity of cache files" gets to 9% before same error appears
-reinstalling steam, error occurs at 35% installing steam platform "Steam.exe (main exception): ERROR: copying of SteamNew.exe to Steam.exe failed, Win32 Error 5 "Access is denied". Go to steam.exe, run, update goes through.
- in library after fresh install most games will say in yellow writting "counterstrike: source - Download starting....", cept nothing downloads
- verify fails again with same no disk space error
- deletion of clientregistry.blob, does not work
-going to steam folder "delete every file except steam.exe and steamapps folder, restart system and run steam.exe to refresh" also fails

If anyone has had this problem, how have you been able to fix it, if not, what are some other fixes you guys have come across taht have helped your game?

also am running Windows 7 x64 ultimate

i'd reformat, it's always good for the pc as well, gives it a bit of a refresh
unless you have a ssd, then its bad.

before you do though, back up any game that you can, maybe it's a corrupted registry file.
take that into account

There should be a ".ncf" file somewhere in your CSS folder, delete it > reboot steam > load css > enjoy css.
Can't remember exact file name, I haven't played in a few months.

If that doesn't work, delete steam and re-install the game, remember to save any configs.

no luck there forest, the only place i found ".NCF" files was in the folder steamapps, all files pertaining to CSS were ".GCF" and did not help with resolving the problem. thanks for new insight.

So i thought id try a registry booster program i have laying around, after i deleted steam (saved steamapps), defragged after, re installed steam with no problems, library still ****ed nothing launched. Watch a movie, get back, put in Windows 7 CD, try CS:S again and it works

ENDNOTE: **** you steam
