We are looking to build a decent league system, with a few seasons a year. We hope to end up getting 2 leagues up and running.

i doubt we can get 2 leagues running at the same time(if your meaning like cgi and cgm) i think we should just a p2p comp running at the same time as cgo

Leagues is the aim for the future 12-16 teams is all you need for leagues.

This is all just ideas been thrown around but so far we had this:
2 Leagues consisting of 16 teams with a limit of 6 players per team, and it lasting about a month then finals.The turn around for each season is fast allowing for CGo teams a chance to play.

well so far we got 18 full teams on the ladder for 4v4 so hopefully soon we will have enough to make 2 decent leagues. But we might have a better chance to implement the leagues when the private servers come out for bf3 in the near future

Yes even getting results from the first season depending upon ladder placements might be the way to go. Also looking at some sponsorship of the tourny so that we have a greater prize pool is my current mission hence why I haven't fleshed this out in more detail. Discussions a little way along the path but nothing concrete yet, positive but not agreed upon as yet. I think playing this first season would give us some much needed insight into the team allocation for any leagues. As well as those loyal to CG who've helped us get this off the ground, i.e active teams being on the receiving end of invitations.

Just some news on this - Twilife (head xbox admin) has been busy over the weekend amongst his plethora of work/uni load he's managed to sneak in some bloody awesome work on this Pay 2 Play and drafted me up a template that I've been reading this morning....looks solid.

Many of us thank and continue to thank his support of BF3 here at CG working behind the scenes to help this game take off - such an awesome person to bounce off/work with and run idea's past. He's been the man whose given us the green light for both BFBC2 and BF3 so much respect from myself personally Twilife cheers mate the community salutes you - looking forward to sharing this information soon folks.
