Hello community,
I recently purchased a Thomson TG782T router/modem for ADSL, only to discover that it is shit. It connects when it wants to, wireless speeds are poor, and, most importantly, can't handle the connection to Steam games. We upgraded from a 6 year old modem which seemed to run everything better than this new product. We'd stay with the old one but it's evident that it's on its last legs and about to die.
Basically what I would like to know is, what is the best router-modem (2 in 1 built-in) out there at the moment for ADSL?
Price is not an issue as I am an only-child.
Ta.

This is from my experience, the last few netgear routers we had struggled with big loads eg. 3 computers all talking to eachother while on the internet.. linksys also had that but it wasn't as bad.. apart from that i would recommend either a linksys or netgear. I'm sure there are reviews on the net about it

i think youll get better performance out of a linksys. oh and the port forwarding support on my current netgear modem/router isnt great, lack of changeable ports and a difficult interface. im not sure if this has changed with newer models.

Linksys is owned by Cisco. You'd be crazy to go with anything else.
