Just me and my mates at lefty, it was originally was a walking track, but after three weeks we had turned it into a downhill track, adding jumps and rocks to make the track more fun, the video is on pinkbike so im not sure if it will preview in the post. but here it is, I'm at the front, Harrison is behind me, Andrew is behind Harrison, Sam is behind Andrew and zach and john are behind Sam. Flmed and edited by andrew.

the problem is that neck braces like the alpine star etc are designed to fit into compatible body armor and compatible helmet. Pretty much the TLD D3 is the only helmet that is properly designed for neck braces.
If you wear a neckbrace and a random helmet and no body armor, the brace actually can kill you. Alot of people have been breaking both collar bones from not wearing proper armor or suffering neck injuries from the way the helmet moves underneath the helmet.

That is true.
To many people thinking they won't need all the armor (even if its just your everyday local DH track) these days. Been there done that and paying for it now.

My friend bauer broke his neck wearing neck brace and all that, he was hitting a 34 foot long jump and cased the back of the jump with his front wheel and his neck brace snapped.

They are more designed for racing not hucking so to speak. Saying that hope he is all ok?
