That time of the year again! Season 1 of the ever popular FFA comp is once again upon us. The winners of last years illustrious BO competition include;

When is this competition taking place?
The SteelSeries Free For All Finals Competition will be held on the 19th of February at 7pm.

How do I enter this unbelievably awesome competition?
As it is the Season 1 Final for the FFA ladder, you must be currently competing on the 1v1 ladder. The 16 highest ranked teams after ladder lock on the 1v1 ladder will be chosen to compete for the grand prize. If a player in the Top 16 is unavailable, we will keep going down the ranks until the 16 spots are filled.

There is also no entry fee! However, if you are one of the chosen in the Top 16 and have confirmed your availability for the competition, we expect you to be there on the 19th of February at 7pm or earlier. If you in any way derail the smooth running of the competition, your team will be dropped to the bottom of the ladder so make sure you're available! Mark it on your calender, leave a note in your diary, whatever it takes to remember the date and time of the competition: 19th of February at 7pm!.

Ladder Lock
The 1v1 ladder will be locked on the 14th of February at midnight. Any challenges that have not been completed by this date will be cancelled. Once the ladder is locked, the 16 highest ranked teams will be sent a PM detailing the finals layout and will need to reply whether they accept/decline their invite.

What can I win from this competition?
The winner of the grand final will receive 1500 Microsoft points.

How will the competition be run?
The Top 16 chosen from the 1v1 ladder will go into two pools of 8: the Green and the Blue pools as shown below.



The Green Pool will consist of all odd ranked teams. Ranks 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, and 15.
The Blue Pool will consist of all even ranked teams. Ranks 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, and 16.

Each pool will play 3 x 8 minute rounds. Each round will be played using only one gun type.

Round 1: SMG's Only.
Round 2: Assault Rifles Only.
Round 3: Snipers Only.

At the end of the final round, the total kills will be tallied up for each player. The top 4 players from each pool will make up the 8 Grand Finalists! If by some chance there is a tie for kills, the winner will be decided by who has the least amount of deaths. If there is still a draw, a tiebreaker will take place between the 2 or more players to determine the player going through, this will be a 5 minute FFA with the AR Only gametype.

The Grand Final will use the same 3 rounds system as shown above. The overall winner will be crowned FFA Champion.

What maps will the rounds be played on?
The first round of finals where players are split into either the Green or Blue Pool - will see 8 players face off on the map Dome. This map will be used for all three gametype rounds. The Grand Final will be played on Lockdown with all three gametype rounds again.

What rules will be used for the rounds and different gametypes?
The current 1v1 ruleset will be used in this competition with the removal of all lethal grenades due to the large number of players in a lobby. The same rules as always will apply to each gametype, for example you cannot use your pistol or knife in 'Sniper Only' but can use both in 'SMG Only' and 'AR Only'. Any further rule changes you will be made aware of before the commencement of the competition.

Information on who is playing and any refs / hosts will be released and confirmed at a later date. Players will also be sent a PM to serve as a reminder for the competition.
