You could possibly use Ethernet over power.
I used that for a couple of years when I lived with my parents and it was beaut

Although, that was from a router to a standing PC, depends if you wanna be able to move around or not.

Belkin sucks balls.
I have a billion- bipac 7401vgpr3
$200 or so best buy if you have more than 2 but less than 5 devices connecting to the internet in your house.
Excellent QOS without having to configure anything (just inbuilt to handle it different downloads.)

PoE (Power over Ethernet) is mainly used for things like corporate phone systems where you can power a device using just an ethernet cable. I really don't see how your suggestion fits in here. OP wants a WiFi router - if you're suggesting he gets one that's powered via PoE then he'd need a PoE switch beforehand.

Negative,

He is referring to power over ethernet, not PoE as confusing as it is.

I use Ethernet over power from my router / modem to my switch then onto my server + PC + HTPC+ ps3...

Works fine, never had any connection issues.

Yes ska, but I have a feeling the PoE device you're using isn't some $70 POS made by TP Link
