I am bringing to you yet another interview from Vizual Productions from CG's own,Dazzaman. I would like to thank Dazz for doing the interview with me. it took a while but we got there in the end.
In the interview I asked him about a finals and how they are coping,
Hope you enjoy
Being Founder and Captain of Crux Crew what are your thoughts of coming into the upcoming finals?
I, Dazza QLD, Founder and Captain of Crux Crew Xbox Division am a bit disappointed that some of the better teams have pulled out and not made the finals. Nonetheless, it is still a tough finals bracket and will be interesting to see it play out.
What made you start the team of Crux Crew?
Well JayD and I have known each other for a good 3 years now after establishing Excel Gaming and competing in the first CGi league on CoD5. At the start of MW3 we thought it would be a good idea to get a new team together. I hadn't actually played a lot of Black Ops competitively, so with JayD's experience and knowingness of up and coming players, we picked a few players up, gelled nicely together and stuck with it. We were actually thinking of a team name together when I was messaged on CyberGamer by Soniq, founder of Crux Crew, who offered us a place in their organisation, and we gladly accepted.
How are you coping being one of the top contenders?
To be honest, I don't think we are considered to be one of the top contenders in the finals. I believe we are fairly underrated, but that's okay; always have been and I love it.
How do you think you're going to do during these up coming seasons?
If we stick together, build our team chemistry up a lot more and have more commitment, I believe we can surprise a lot of people and go reasonably well.
Do you feel Crux Crew is set for finals or is there more to work on?
Definitely more to work on. We never have been a very strategic based team, basically just sticking to our spots and holding it the best we can. With a bit more commitment we can improve a lot more on our performance.
How are you feeling about playing Catalyst for your first final match?
Catalyst have very experienced players and it will be a tough first match. Hopefully we put on a good show for everyone and perform our best.
Are you nervous about these finals?
Not at all at the moment. Having played competitive gaming for about 3 years now, my nerves are pretty stable in these situations. Hopefully when the leagues come around and when there are more important matches to be played there'll be a spark of excitement and nerves there again.
Will we see more of Crux Crew throughout the whole of Modern Warfare 3?
Sure will do. We are aiming for CGi next season although there are a lot of good teams as well upcoming teams that fly under the radar. Everyone says it, the skill-gap between players these days is minuscule; anything can happen.
What have you got planned for the future of Crux Crew?
My plans for the future of Crux Crew are to compete in CGi/m, hopefully pick up a few Xbox based sponsors, and then carry over to the new Call of Duty title when it is released.
Is there anything you would like to say to anyone?
I would just like to thank Soniq for giving us the opportunity to represent the Crux Crew organisation, the Crux Crew boys for being there for me when things get tough, my Mum and Dad, and my Brothers.
Good luck to everyone in the upcoming finals.
And I would also just like to say, Dominic, you're a champ.
Thanks for the interview,
