Rossy bringing yet another interview from Vizual Productions from CG's very own,Envious Kitty. I would like to thank Kitty for doing the interview with me.
Being one of the Captains of Suit up: Catalyst what are your thoughts of coming into the upcoming final?
Well we have done extremely well I'd say throughout the season securing some pretty amazing wins. I'm hoping that we can actually get some sort of strategy down for the upcoming matches in the final though as we haven't really done anything in terms of Search and Destroy due to the takeover of 4v4's. I do believe that we could wreak some havoc in these finals though with or without strats and hopefully our teamwork prevails over some of the hard work other teams put in!
Joining the Suit up Organisation what will you be willing to accomplish with them?
Well I know for a fact how hard working both Frenchie and Diddy are and their management skills are quite amazing. So hopefully we can accomplish something further than Suit Up together and we will try to uphold their hard work with top 3 accomplishments!
What made you start the team of Catalyst?
In the early stages of Modern Warfare 2 (during the time when I was in Insurgency) FluenZa approached me. He proposed the line-up of Fake, Unleash, Cheese, himself and I, after much deliberation I decided to team with them. We were known as Pancake Strike Force back then but after many line-up changes it came to the stage where we needed a more 'serious' name. Fake suggested Catalyst in reference to a song or something and from then on we were renowned as Catalyst. At the time just before Modern Warfare 3's release whilst I was still in Archaic (now VoxE) FluenZa yet again convinced me to make another team with him. This time completely different from our MW2 lineup though. After a couple of months we decided to change our name from Genesis to Catalyst to continue our short but good dominance from MW2.
How are you coping being one of the top contenders?
Well after the sad (jokes we're happy ) loss of Shockwave who was a part of our core 5 we have now had to shuffle around to get the best fit. So none the less the one and only Baked poslayto is going to attempt to fill that null void in our team. But other than that we aren't exactly panicking or anything about being a top contender we're just going to play and see how it pans out.
How do you think you're going to do during these upcoming seasons?
Well hopefully in this first CGo season of MW3 we can at least breach the top 3. But I believe that with preparation we could make the grand final! When leagues come around and if we're in CGi, like every other team we hope for a top 3 finish again. But this can only come with hard work and preparation which we don't seem to have time for at the moment.
Do you feel Catalyst is set for finals or is there more to work on?
Like I've said already we don't have the strats some of the other teams have like Impact or Afterlife nor have we had as many scrims as they have had for SnD. So yeah, there is a lot to work on but at the moment we are fine with just going in and relying on our communication and teamwork to secure our rounds
How are you feeling about playing Crux Crew for your first final match?
We are pretty confident in taking the win but it all depends on how much effort Crux Crew decides to put in. I believe it is being shoutcasted by vizzN so it should be a good match for those who wish to tune in!
Are you nervous about these finals?
I can't say that I am nervous myself as I have competed in finals before and know what it's like. But for the others like ironic they could be pooing in their panties before matches.
Will we see more of Catalyst throughout the whole of Modern Warfare 3?
Catalyst will be around till the end so yes you will be seeing a lot of us
What have you got planned for the future of Catalyst?
Well after joining up with the Suit Up guys we are hoping to try and secure something higher like an organisation that can pay for entry fees or something. Other than that we plan to attempt to score in the top 3 in anything we do!
Is there anything you would like to say to anyone?
Firstly thanks to both Frenchie and Diddy as I know that they have both worked extremely hard to get Suit Up to where they are now. Also thanks to Suit Up's new sponsor Element Origin! A shoutout to all the boys in Catalyst <3 And last but not least, good luck to Shockwave in his new team (they're an old team but reformed) Second Nature!
Hopefully you can find out what you did with us.
