So basically up untill now I've always played on consoles but I'm interested in buying a pc specifically to play games on, no really demanding games, just like the new diablo, star wars old republic etc. To be honest I don't know shit about computers so I was looking up premade setups, more specifically the razor laptop but it's a ripoff and I'm told I could make my own setup for a lot cheaper but obviously like I said I don't know shit about them so my question is, how should I go about getting a decent gaming pc, nothing ridiculously powerful just something that can play games similar to the ones I listed and how much would I be looking at paying for nz wise, thanks I appreciate the help.

ps, i've been searching gaming pcs of the new zealand site "trademe" would it be a good idea to purchase one from there?

For my Computer with includes 16GB of RAM a Radeon HD 5800 Series graphics card, and an AMD Quad core processor i can run all of those games fine plus more, i got mine by going down to the nearest computer markets and buying the bits and pieces but if you're looking to get a relatively cheap system that can run those sorts of games i suggest going to ibuypower.com and having a look on there because those are design for gaming and come with packages with mouse keyboard and the basics for a starter gamer

ok thanks, i appreciate that. my problem was more about assembling the actual pc rather than the price, i'm looking to find a premade gaming pc capable of playing these games since i know nothing about the assembling of a computer, i will the site a look.

$850 will get you a decent one, no screen or anything though just the tower.
Go packages -> Intel or AMD

swtor is pretty demanding, you should buy parts individually and build yourself.. it's so easy

i spent $800 (i5/6870) and can run swtor on ultra+be in the main city and have no problems

They are in Dunedin, they seem kinda cheap.

that was my intent but like i said i'm useless when it comes to computers, i wouldn't even know what parts to buy let alone assemble it, maybe if there's a decent guide online i will attempt it.

ESD (Electro-Static Discharge) is when you or your tool touch a component with the opposite charge to you. E.G. if you are charged and the component you are touching is not, you may ruin it.
