Hey guys am wanting a little help.. I got my Black Magic Video Recorder (USB) for my Mac book pro, I know it does'nt record in HD so i set my xbox to 720p i think it was i even tried 420/80 as well. but still no luck.. I run my xbox through HD cables to the surround Sound/AMP and from there HD cables to the TV.

I have even tried running component cables to the TV (standard XBOX 360 one) and the and them running my CAP CARD the same way to the TV using the other component slots in the back of the TV. But still nothing..

Hopefully you can understand this, and maybe someone has some ideas that i have missed and can help me out..

All the software is fine as it comes up with the being able to record and all but all it is is a black screen and does'nt record.

I think this is because my tv has two component slots and both my me input slots i dont know to be honest.

My tv is a 46" Samsung LCD the model before the new flat LED screens, which i am think about buying hahah.

If you can help me i will be very greatful as i need all the help i can get as i have tried all i can do and nothing..

Also i am at work at the moment but will be at home and i can not post from my home IP as because of a old BAN which i was hoping someone was going to remove for me soon...

Cheers fellas

the component cables from the cap card need to go to the same component ports that ur 360 component cables go to..no use putting them on a different channel coz tht wont do n e fing xP to do that u need a splitter im pretty sure. jst to test the cap card to c if its working..use ur 360 with the component cables and plug them straight into the usb component cables. u wont b able to see anything on ur tv but u shud get a picture on the capture software.
