AU PC BF3 Admin
With the CGi invites being handed out in a little over a month, it's about that time to start looking at the candidates. With BF3 spanning multiple highly competitive competitions such as Alienware, iM invite and our very own 8v8 ladder, the standard invite system of CG will go under some tweaking by the admin team to ensure only the best and most active of the AusNZ BF3 scene are competing.

This will in all likeliness include at least ONE fight-for-your-invite spot, where multiple teams may battle it out for a spot in CGi.

So now it begins. Here is where all discussion and (hopefully bitter) rivalries shall start, which team has made you take notice recently? Which team appears to have become so uncoordinated you swear they've taken up a heavy drug habit?

My (personal, and in no way affiliated with iM or CG) current CGi Invite predictions:

Team Immunity

With absolutly no bias present what-so-ever, I can completely legitimatly state that Team Immunity has at least 4 good players on their roster. While the rest of the team leave a lot to be desired, those 4 players carry hard enough that a decent result is often recorded for them. They may have to step up their work ethic however, as lack of game time is a problem for this team and come finals, their lack of practice might just tip the scales against them. I have also heard rumours of romantic tension within the team, making possible fallouts all the more dramatic.

Somebody likes deathdoG just a little too much

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Vanguard

Formerly under the Carnage banner and one of Australia's best teams currently, It would be rude and arrogant to dismiss this team taking out the #1 spot in finals. With the recent loss of their "better-than-dan" player, how much this will impact them will depend heavily on who fills thrasK's role and how much their strats can reflect such a change in strengths. Despite this loss, Vanguard are still an extremely impressive team. With some of the best teamwork and strats around, they are no doubt extremely strong competition for any team.

thrasK midgame with his army of repair bitches

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Online Gaming Addicts

The best team out of New Zealand, OGA are an extremely capable team with a long BF history. A bit of a dark horse early on in BF3, OGA consistantly post good results and are one of the more active teams in regards to matches, going 11-2 on Alienware. Having won large upsets in BF2 over teams like aK^, it would not be impossible (nor unlikely) for OGA to do it again for this generation of games.

It needed to be said somewhere

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Exile5

Coming from multiple late season victories in BC2, exile5 have made a big splash in BF3. Always hovering around the top 3, x5 at any time could up the ante and become a powerhouse in AusNZ battlefield. With an oddly similar situation of Beefay appearing to no longer be exile 5's main tanker, it will also be interesting to see how they evolve their strats to make up for this. With a history of getting better and better as a game goes on, x5 will probably be a big player in seasons to come.

exile5 have been known as a team of attrition

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sequential Gaming

Or as I like to call them, "Team Edrama", Sequential has had a rough season with many roster changes and a musical chairs style of leadership. With some heavy hitting players still on their roster they have the potential to be a top-tier team, but their teamwork and cohesion need some improvement. While still bleeding players, this will be tough until they can settle on a stable core roster. Overall, providing Glock doesn't kick his entire team and stops being so whipped I predict sequential to get an invite.

so i totally heard that akme and glock had a fight, like serious

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Think Positive

The new side previously under -LG-, they started off strong as one of the hardest working teams around. With possible burnout apparent think plus could come good at any moment and shift the top spots dramatically.
With early wins against OGA on alienware and a decent enough roster, Thinkplus have the backing and potential, but appear to lack the commitment. Capable of taking an upset at any time, the more experience this team gets together the more they should improve.

with a name like this, motivation should be the least of their worries

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fortis-X

The new side comprising of old dB and Team Refresh members, they have had an apparently good run in scrims and matches with a very aggressive style. Having never played them myself, I can only say so much, but based of popular opinion this team is one to not take lightly.

Dark Horse award for the shortest description

FFYI

This spot is up for contention, and really any team could take it. How active they are and how well theyre doing will primarily effect who gets to fight for this spot. Community suggestion will be heavily regarded.

why is competition in bf3 so stale atm lol? what are some of these teams waiting for, a year for competition to die out and then get on top of all ladders and proclaim they are the best bf3 team in the world? again. lol.

i mean its not the best game, no shit, i know dis, but its still pretty fun to **** around in 8v8 or 10v10, and most of these teams could be top 8 without much effort. and 4v4 is heaps fun too, and its not really played much, especially by the teams that used to tell us how good that broken piece of shit sqr was in bc2 now dont even play it? haha

i also heard AW might decide to go with top 16 for finals instead of top 32, so some of the teams that decided to sit on the bottom for 2 months might be a bit mad :s
