Firstly, to everyone who is even thinking of coming in here and putting us down JUST LEAVE THE THREAD AND KEEP YOUR MOUTHS SHUT. We may have gotten to the Final through forfeits but we proved we deserved to be there with the performance we gave tonight.
First map:
Upheavel. I myself was nervous going into this map as I know it isn't our best but I got a confidence boost after we took the first two rounds on defense with some solid shooting. Sure enough though Hz pushed back taking the next two rounds leveling it up. The rest of the rounds were taken pretty evenly with a round for round situation happening and the half ended up at 6 -6.
In the second half we were unsure of what was up ahead, we all knew we needed more rounds on defense, but we still kept clean minds and went all out. We started with a B run, doing well getting the bomb down with 3 players left. Unfortunately I ****ed up, got shot, dokkey got shot in the back and when they defused taylor popped up and got sprayed down. We then took a normal A run which was quickly shut down by Hz with a double carbine kill almlost straight away on myself and taylor and a good burnout run and flank which shut the rest of the team down.
Hz took the first 6 rounds consecutively before LR got their first round. We almost had another round with Coldy taken 3 / 4 players needed for a clutch and planting at B.. Unfortunately he ran to far from the bomb and it was defused without him hearing it. Unlucky

.
The half ended 10 - 2 to Hz making the first map 16 - 8 to Hz.
Second map:
Cliffside. I had strong confidence that we would take out cliffside as it is out best map. Our confidence was boosted dramatically after some devastating runs by the boys and I at B bomb taking around 5 or so of the first few rounds. We pulled off some A rushes that were just unbeatable and Skayze had us frustrated with his sniper at the back of B bomb. The first half ended 10 - 2 LR's way on attack.
In the second half we were sure we were going to win, but we could never be to sure with Hz, we took out the first 2 rounds and needed one more to win but Hz pulled a nice B run to take another round but sure enough we took the next round easily with 3 early grenade kills.
Even though we won, neither of us gave up and the rest of the half stayed competitive and ended 8 - 4 to LR.
The half ended 8 - 4 to LR making the first map 18 - 6 to LR.
Third map:
Castle. My thoughts going into this were all over the place. I thought it would be a nail biter, going down into overtime. But some BRILLIANT defense work LR managed to pull the first 6 or so rounds with some brilliant nades into the B bomb from dokkey on flank and taylor managing upstairs without any trouble and my performance that even managed to impress Coldy of all people, haha.
Hz got the bomb down a few times but some bullshit shooting from all our players we were able to defuse most of the time. The half time score was 10 - 2 to LR.
In the second half we went straight for a A fake move and it worked well drawing their defenders out into Courtyard and to look at A. We got the bomb down pretty easily and took the first round. The second round we went for a normal B and managed to shut down their defense to take out the round making it 2 - 0. We needed one more to win. Hz stood their ground and pulled off some nice shots to shut us down making it 2 - 1. The next round we went for another B run and it was a really intense round with dokkey vs 2 of the Hz boys I think and he managed to shoot them down from birds nest winning us the game!
We celebrated but still continued to play as normal and showed Hz what we are made of taking it out 10 - 2 on our attack making the end score for that map 20 - 4 to LR.
Final Score: 2 - 1 or 46 - 26 I think.
Thanks to Hz for the game and the GREAT sportsmanship afterwards (well from most) and BennyBalls for refereeing and to Notorious ox for hosting.
LR Intermediate GF winners 2009. :p
My thoughts on MVP go to: Coldy.
Don't think we have screenshots, sorry.
