The Cybergamer Call of Duty: World at War Invitational League is coming to an end as we've just gone through 2 of the 3 stages in the finals and the competition is about to reach it's climax. We're are fnishing up the season with eXtortion taking on Uprising in the long awaited grand final with a nice prize of 700 Australian Dollars on the line.

On behalf of all the CGi Players, I'd like to thank all of the admins, refs, hosts, cap carders and most of all the shoutcasters, especially Bio Acid who has put in so much effort into casting as many matches as possible. Without you guys, this league wouldn't have been as awesome.

~Previous Results~
~Finals Round One~
Uprising 2 def. aspiRe. 0 ~ Official Result
Kicking it off in the finals was Uprising versus aspiRe. Both teams had impressive runs through the league but when it came to the game, Uprising dealt out some devastating damage with a convincing 2 map win over aspiRe resulting in Uprising progressing to the next round whilst aspiRe have their finals run shut down.

eXtortion 2 def. eXile5 0 ~ Official Result
Both of the top two seeds battled it out in this match with the winner progressing to the grand final. The first map was taken into an overtime but eXtortion narrowly took the win. The second map was also snatched away from eXile5 resulting in a guttering result for the number one seed.

~Finals Round Two~
Uprising 2 def. eXile5 0
One of the biggest matches in the history of World at War. On their last encounter, eXile5 snatched the win from Uprising 13-11 in a nail biter of a match. This time, Uprising decided to get their revenge, winning both maps 13-11.

The final tips provided have been by the man that has witnessed every teams potential and spread it around the whole community through the power of Gamestah. Yes thats right. It's the one, the only, Bio Acid.

eXtortion v Uprising
~Castle:
Both teams have shown time & time again on this map what they can do when it comes down to it. They both can come back from out of no where to take the game into overtime and really mix things up. In regards to that, and from what i've seen from both teams I feel that Uprising will take this map 13-11.

~Upheaval:
Now this is a map that i've seen all season long where teams just take round after round on there defence, however I have seen eXtortion fight back hard on this one and really put some of the best players on edge, it's that reasoning alone that I feel eXtortion will win this 14-10.

~Cliffside:
Now we haven't really seen that much of Cliffside in regards to players and a big comp since Season One Grand Final. Methodz is one of the few that played this map and he knows what its going to take to get the win. eXtortion do have a great setup on this map also, I believe that we will see this one go into overtime, and who will win the OT? Well we are all just going to have to wait and find out.
