Hey so my Tritton Ax Pro headset arrived today, after finally setting it all up it seems to work fine but when i got around to putting the detachable mic into place i noticed it only clicks in when facing the left, and you have to spin it around to reach your mouth is this correct ? Anyway since trying to use it theres just a static sound and people can barely hear me speak because of it...is there any way to fix this or is it faulty/broken ?

Im prepared to call up Tritton for a new replacement mic if that's the problem which i think it is, but i would like to know if there is anything i could do to fix it up on my own...Other than this unfortunate thing, an amazing headset i highly recommend!

Do you mean the mic like im talking about or the headset itself ? Just when i have my mic on it makes a fuzzy static noise other people can hear (not me) dissapointing because it means as of now i have to switch to my 360 mic to talk to people until i get it fixed somehow. Any tips are greatly appreciated.

Hmm pretty odd, I've never had the issue. It'd be best to consult Tritton or whoever you bought the headset from, they'll probably discern it as faulty. The majority of headsets have dodgy mics on them for some reason. Either they do silly things like yours or they break too easily. OR everyone including myself is just incompetent at looking after them haha. My AXPRO mic just stopped working for no reason but I don't mind wrapping the MS mic around my neck, still you should get what you pay for - so drop them a line or email.

And Sandz, what's this boom mic you speak of, can i buy one as a replacement for the one i have now ? meaning i won't have to waste time with Tritton customer support.

I kinda like using the MS one, it picks up less background noise and breathing etc it just sucks for hearing so I do the usual voice through speakers majig.

I know this is an old thread now but i just wanted to update on it. I was sent a new detachable mic and cable but it was still screwed up and static, so yesterday i sent in the headset itself to be replaced.

If anyone else has the same similar problem with the AX Pro's, including the voice volume being extremely faint even when turning up the wheel all the way to max...don't bother asking for a replacement mic, just send in the headset itself.

i just received mine today and have the same problem. thanks for posting this because i was finding it very frustrating not being able to figure out what was wrong and hadn't found anything online until i saw this thread.

changing settings, switching controllers and moving the mic around doesn't help. i don't have the same problem with voice volume being faint... in fact that sounds very good. i'm thinking i'll talk to tritton tomorrow and likely send the whole thing back.
