Well I can see some of your points salt but the way you guys came across it is hard not to be cynical.
Sorry Gumby...I really didn't want to get into this but I must.
Preferably we'd like to play against other teams, but they won't play us for whatever reasons that somehow are our fault? When we ask directly we get told "no we've broken up or working on a new team we're not ready yet, get back to you in 2-3 weeks whilst you guys scrim each other and we get no reply. When we inquire about the scrim we get fed more delays. When we get a bit uppity at being ignored 2, 3 times in a row that upon hearing or reading posts about internal ESGN scrims happening we get accused of demanding scrims, that we're un-liked and need to look at our actions, that we're blacklisted!!! WTF? For beating you at some games? For sticking up for ourselves after being trolled for being called cheats or douchebags! C'mon man...where's the cynicism part come into this?
We're getting called out for ruining pub games now, HOW THE FRRRK DO YOU RUIN A PUB GAME!!!! That 4 or 5 of us joining your server is team stacking! Hang on you guys have 5 dudes against randoms when we enter you are smashing them in the base and its fine. When we do it to you....its aggressive! That we're far too serious? How can you tell we're too serious....we play hard whether its you or anyone. Its not personal, that's just the level we're at. Shit you should hear the guys give it to me when i tell them to ease off a bit, leave them a flag or they'll leave.
None of you guys come and play on CG ladders and were never going to so that has to be acknowledged as a prime reason for much of the BS that's happened. The reasons given changed from
"we wont play with rule sets we play as is"
"Salts judge jury and executioner and surrounds himself with yes men"
"CG don't love BF, your admins treated us badly, too many COD kids ruin the forums"
"no one knows TC Azz and how good a player he is"
"Our blokes wont play because your admin team sucks"
"SALT treated us badly"
"I got banned"
"some of my blokes got banned!"
- its all bullshit bro but it gets even more twisted when we're blamed for this deception running deep at the heart of your community from the outset disguised many times over for what it really is. Self interest. The intentions have always been selfish (not a bad thing) when really you should of had more blokes like Madrtr on the job from the start, someone with life experience who understands the value of building relationships of worth, through the sharing of mutual interests.
Whilst all this is going on your blokes are quite ok to speak directly to CG's attracted teams and get them over to ESGN yet accuse us of putting further divides on a divided community. We will play on ESGN, as stated, its more opportunity for us. You guys wont come and play here - that's division!
On the other hand, we come over and start initiating scrims, they turn out badly for some of your blokes next thing we get accused of being cheats, ring-ins, no lifers and hand picking players to the point its ruining competitive BF from getting off the ground and we should split up, because no one wants to play us. Do you think we're laughing at you or dismissive of your game! HELL NO...we aren't laughing at all, we're generally concerned a pattern of misdirection is being layered and layered upon that is causing blockages to the development of this game and community. So we're trying whatever it takes - dont beat us up on our wording, rather look at our actions. We are all about the promotion of more activity not less, not fighting, not division!
xAPx were getting better every game we could see our matches were gonna get tougher, then nothing....and all the activity we started we're now finding ourselves being excluded from. Then told we're blacklisted from the community! It doesn't make sense. Blacklisted! We aren't even picking fights with you guys, yet we cop endless amounts of juvenile/trolling/name calling shit and even after all that we come across badly....frrk me...tough audience!
We'd love for you guys to demand scrims from us. Thats the difference, that's the type of community we should be striving for. Same goes for ANWA, PGZ, IDOLIZE we want you to smash us hard. To show us new strats. Shit we learnt so much from xAPx first few times in pub games that we tightened our structure as a result. This is the information decent players give you when you lose. This is how we learn, how we overcome adversity. Through trial and error. We see what works and we appreciate quality play for what it is. Shit in a pub stomp we had dL in a base rape 4 flags on Seine, they got out of it with a mortar team and came back to beat us. Quite remarkable. We use that strat now ourselves on tanks and on softening up the frontlines so we can push through. These are the things you learn from playing at a level I deem necessary for a community to call itself competitive.
If you guys need us to play a weaker team aganst you and go easy, then say so. We're at our wits end trying to understand what it is you want from this game, for your community and from us? You wanna control BF but you don't wanna play good teams or increase activity levels. That my friend is mutually exclusive. That is not just directed at you this needs to be addressed by all teams in a similar position.
When i speak to ANWA or SOR these guys don't have enough players on so they scrim 4v4. They wanna play no doubt. They need to get on the recruitment bandwagon again. You can't rely on old relationships you gotta find the new and hungry players that wanna prove themselves.
When we play 2LIVE poor Cracked has blokes that leave after the first round and then don't show up the following week. It embarrassed shit out of him. But he still wanted to play something so we put together a PUG showcasing that this is what teams want.
To cut a long story short - this idea is not a division, this is a call to arms. From interest shown by Mazz and Matt they wanna take this somewhere and that speaks volumes to me so I'm keen. This is not about CG vs ESGN or LBS vs whoever its about making Conquest 12 v 12 the focus of our efforts. This is about teams taking a lick and bouncing back, this is about exposing teams to the real BF experience more regularly and the leaders of this community growing a pair of balls and getting it done.

But many players cannot always be on as battlefielders are typically older and have kids. Half of X111 are married with kids, two of our main guys have newborns. By and large the cod kids don't have this so can scrim to there hearts content. Plus trying to get a full team of twelve all at once is hard.
C'mon most of you guys have some serious wings and game time plus you chalk up some forum time and regular posts/contributors. I don't buy into that. From time to time sure. These things happen no doubt, but on the whole their missus, kids or jobs aren't that much of an obstacle. A consideration sure, but a deterrent from activity. No way...not buying it.

No its not hard at all! Its a piece of piss. You just need to expand your rosters - or use ring ins so that you get some game time into those who did show up. The show must go on but if it can't due to unforseen circumstances then reschedule for the next night.
1. Start recruiting from PUB games. Rarely do good players come to you. Be proactive.
2. Don't hang yourself up on those who say yes but don't show up.
3. Keep adding potential when you see it, then looking for hard at it players. Talent shows itself for what it is.
4. If someone doesn't work out or goes missing then move on.
5. Work on the next good player and make an effort to bring him into the fold.
6. A few weeks later, still no interest from the previous try out - delete them and move on.
7. Specialist roles like Jet pilots and the like. Use Battlelogs. If you get smashed by someone all game in a jet or choppa, send them a msg saying well played and start from there. Add them, check their stats. If they have good SPM then fair chance they're a quality player. Wings indicate experience. K/D indicates role played.
8. Fill them in on the community. Paint a picture. You're all part of something more advanced than the normal random, tell them they lay of the land. You've got a good story to tell and basis for recruitment and on going attraction.
9. Talk to a team captain and find out when you can play a scrim. "Salt you boys good to go for Monday or Tuesday at 8:30 or 9pm?"
"yeah should be for Monday at 8:30pm, will tell the boys"
10. Send out msg's through XBL to your 15-20 or so players on your rosters when youre playing. They should be champing at the bit for some action.
11. Put a facebook group together for internal discussions and internal team page/chat to keep things in house and notify those who check this shit from their smart phones who are away from their PC or Xbox.
12. Have team members help you out by looking into potential teams for a scrim. Msg players banging out a clan tag. If you don't ask you dont receive. Always be on the look out for a potential game and make it happen. Shit I spent 2 weeks trying to organise some Taiwanese blokes. How good they are and so on is irrelevant.

What a better way to promote it normally these guys are enemies but today they are playing as a united force. Man imagine a squad with magix salt skorps and destro. I'd watch the stream just to hear what's going on.
I would be sitting in the base waiting for a tank checking out my stats apparently calling Magix a ginger weasel, he'd be calling me old man, and skorps would be hiding in his bush with a USAS

This could also help your team break down barriers that you guys face. Some people may change their minds about your side. But hey just my thoughts man.
Yeah its a PUG so "should" be a piece of piss to set up - don't need no 2-3 weeks to get them started. Expecting a big turn out this Sunday then for whatever model we follow.
Edited once, 5/3/12 - 11:53pm.
