Try go to task manager while the game is running and right click on the cod2 exe and click set infinity. Need to tick the 'all processors' option as for some fkn reason win7 runs cod2 off one core not two. That's all i could find the other day when I googled it as it was borderline unplayable at times.

My game ran like balls before that now it's pretty much the same as XP....only annoying thing is you have to do it every time you open the game. Other games seem to default to both cores going by what I have installed. FYI i have the same CPU/RAM/GPU combo as you duece.

mine should of aswell, the windows drivers give me 125 constant with random drops though anything straight from nvidia makes my GFX card become an autistic midget

my cod's been running better than ever, with windows 7. constant 125, no random drops (like I had with xp) and my cod4 crashes a hell of a lot less.

edit: i have an nvidia 8600gt, btw
