y0,
I remember someone years back having the same thing but cant remember what the fix was. Occasionally cod2 will freeze mid loading a map, seems to do it randomly (ie. no pattern to when it happens or w/e). usually meaning having to restart my PC, anyone know what causes this/how to fix it?

Happens here as well. Reinstall did nothing. Didn't try much else.

happen to me about a month ago when i reformated my comp and installed cod2 it was frezin every time i tryed joining a server loading the map all i did was reinstalled the cod2 patch 1.3 then worked fine. if that doesn't work try updating video card drivers are up to date and also d/l and install the latest directX version and maybe run virus scan / spyware scan.

good luck

this happens to be on some occasions, but i can control+alt+delete out of it, so it isn't much of a hassle.

I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realise that what you heard is not what I meant.

Mm, I alt tab a lot. If it's starting to load a map, or going to while I'm alt+tabbed.. it will freeze.
