I sort of agree with what he was getting at in the article.
I still believe though that the CoD single player game, as a series, has been horrendously overrated.
Each game has been pretty much a carbon copy theme park "on rails" scripted affair with the same rehashed objectives and style, just with different backdrops.
In the original game, this wasn't as such an issue: the big scripted battle scene was all the rage thanks to MoH and a number of popular WW2 movies that had been released. There was a certain immersion being part of big WW2 set pieces as well and it did give an appreciation for the real life history.
However, since that game, they have shown zero ******* evolution or growth of ideas. Just been more of the same "plant the c4 on the glowing marker" rubbish.
All the modern warfare titles have done is add in a cluster**** of bullshit features and weapons designed to appeal to the new generation of xbox idiots who think its cutting edge when in reality its all window dressing.
