Just some details so everyone know what's going on.

The WCG National Finals will run from the 8th of August (Friday) to the 10th (Sunday). ALL Competitors will need to be available on the Friday to play their matches.

Registrations open at 10am on the Friday and close at 12pm. The tournament will utilize a double elimination, one map format. The limit will be the six teams.

The COD4 Finals will take place on the Sunday morning. Exact times and schedules will be made available closer to the event. This is just to give you an idea of when teams are required to be at the event.

I'm fine with it...but 3 days...wtf

This just complicates it further for anyone traveling interstate.

As a general rule, the finals for all WCG matches are played on the last day, Sunday. All winners of prizes are then required to stay for the Prize Giving Ceremony.

It sounds as if all of the preliminary matches are being played on the Friday.

As already mentioned, taking 3 days out for a 6 team competition seems a little heady. Is it at all possible to accept registrations on the Saturday morning and knock them over early?

Has the competition been opened for anyone who wants to attend? 6 teams? Blimey :O

Competition is only open to the 6 teams who paid through the WCG registrations that was open before.

Reasoning for doing things this way is we have other tournaments to run on the Saturday. Official disciplines take precedence over COD4, which is not an official tournament. However, this method allows the COD4 finals some exposure, and it gives all gamers whether they do well or not on the Friday to enjoy themselves on the Friday night and the Saturday.
