Hey I have had alook on youtube and it was all about making your Nat open, and cg just came up with 43 pages of random stuff and one thread that wasnt about nat type.

I want to make my NAT type strict so I dont host, I have only got 10 gb so I don't want to use it all up. I went over and had to pay $550 so dont want to do that again. Any one know how to help me.

cheers:]

Ask your internet provider to cap your upload speed? The higher the upload speed the easier you get host??? At least thats what I thought.

Your nat being strict would not stop you from hosting would it?

uPnP is a setting in your modem (universal plug and play) if it is enabled it makes ur firewall not block games or some shit like that. if u disable it this will make your nat strict.. Well that is the theory. @NZ SAM i can host but my nat is strict so it never gives me host.

Yea ask your ISP to cap your upload speed not your download.

i doubt up speed has naything to do with host allocation in cod games,
when ever im in a party with aspiRe wlite NZ or cheese gets it both who have worse host than me, cheese gets host when hes capped and i have +1MB upload speeds, so that wont help

ok, I thought it was your upload speed that determined if you get host. x Space x used to always get host with 2MB upload.

Possible reason why people get host while capped. When your ISP caps your speeds they cap your download speed and not your upload. This may explain why capped people pull host but can't actually host???

Just throwing it out there

If your Nat is strict or moderate, you will still steal host. Sorry.
