Hi guys,

It has been a pretty cool few seasons here we have had some wicked matches some epic threads and some great interest in comp battlefield for a game so old. But with the ladder barely scraping 15 active teams and the active teams pretty much jumping in for the match and then not really touching the game inbetween its time to call and end to the competition.

Big thanks to the following people for the help setting this up (from start to end)

- Landaxe and team awaken for the work with 6v6 mod and scrim testing, love to hate you guys but you were core to 6v6 reguardless of how well it worked.
- Smithy Kaiser and team renegade also love to hate you guys your such a pain in the ass but were always there for scrim testing the original 6v6 mod.
- Thrask and bourney for your help with the 6v6 mod
- Adsa for help with endless amounts of things including anticheat and modding help
- Foxx for working hard on a ruleset and a really good finals series, even if it was the longest one in known history.
- Cholesterol and Katdoggz for coming in to help this last season with my work commitments alongside cg commitments taking up all my time
- Glimmer and gamestah radio for supporting us at the start and kicking up some good interest with the first video on demand casts seen in battlefield.
- RDNx Vyperaus and the team at netgameradio for there neverending support to the battlefield community and continued coverage of battlefield under trying circumstances.
- Asterix for putting up with me raging at him about server setup issues and giving us the opportunity to bring competitive battlefield to the cybergamer system.
- Barrie "Bazajaytee" Tingle from the dice team for ongoing support and promotion of the competition both ingame and on the battlefield website and also prizes for the original competitions.

Although the ladder will come to a close cybergamer will happily support and assist with providing infrastructure to individuals who wish to run tournaments.

Stay tuned for BFBC2 as we will more than likely run some comps in the beta and without a doubt we will be back again for BFBC2.

Yea it's been a good few years of Battlefield 2, about time you blokes called it a day. Props to you and CG for keeping the competitive scene alive a little bit longer after interest in the GameArena ladder died off.

Can't wait for BFBC2 & the ladder that will follow

Most competitive games that i've been involved in arose from this ladder.
Cheers for all the hard work talnoy and crew.
