I've heard soon people - lets call them noobs can't tell the difference between left and right when im shooting them in V2.3.0.

Under the Audio Setings there is a check box for Reverse Stereo that may help with that..

Mine is unchecked as default and seems to work fine..

There are other boxes that may also help, but if you find the actual fix for this can someone post it here for the less fortuanate..

Thats not whats happening with mine. Reverse stereo setting has no effect on the sound. If anything is closer than about 5 metres (footsteps, gunshots, etc.) then you can't tell which direction it is in. On maps like urban and mckenna, a nade will sound far away from where it actually is, sometimes the opposite direction altogether. When your gun is loading it sounds like its on your left. Almost anything in front of you sounds like it is on the front left or front right (have to face away from it so it will sound like its in the centre). The whole problem is more noticeable in some places than others. Might be a bad install but I haven't had the time to reinstall it, its a pain in the arse.

i recon we should have mods on the 2.3 ladder that fix many sound problems

are you using hardware eax for your sound driver marksmen?, or 3d audio, or safe mode... This could be having an effect

I've tried all modes and eax on/off, but i haven't changed the other settings with each mode so yeah. I'll try to fix it when there are people on the 2.3 server to test with. Just wanna know if anyone is having the same problem though.
