A minimum of 6 teams are required for this event to proceed. Any team is allowed to register for this competition. It is purely first in first served.
What's different about this one compared to the first?
We are making every attempt to secure the entire LAN facility for competitive gaming. This means no randoms yelling out and no music blaring in the background. If we can come up with 10 teams somehow, the facility could be exclusive to COD4. Alternatively we may be sharing it with a CSS Tournament or maybe even something like Halo3 on XBox.
You'll also notice that this Tournament there is a Tournament Fee. The first event was a trial to see if it was successful and as such was run at a financial loss. This time we need to break-even on money to ensure the ongoing viability of these Tournaments. QLDCOD.com ensure that 100% of the Tournament Fee goes back to the teams in terms of prize money. Unlike other netcafe style tournaments in Sydney or Melbourne, our admins don't get $150 per day to organise the tournament. As you'll see over at QLDCOD.com the prize money increases with the number of teams.
The only other change that may result is the number of rounds in each match (currently mr12 as per CG online) may be reduced. This is to ensure that all of the matches can be played throughout the day. This decision will be made based on the number of teams that enter.
