On November 13th 2012, the next installment of the Call of Duty series will be upon us with the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 hitting the shelves. CyberGamer is well aware of the release of this game, and as with most new popular games we WILL be supporting it with a CGo ladder going live within a reasonable time frame (likely before New Years).
Before we can have any ladder go live we admins will assess the game to see what is eligible for competitive play. Currently we don't have many confirmed details from the devs and a lot of talk around the game is purely speculation. Once the game is closer to release date we should have more concrete details so we can begin planning specifics for our ladders.
Once the game is officially released we will be able to start analysing the guns, and work on removing the clearly OP ones. We will also run over all of the maps to get an idea on which of them are most viable for competitive play. We may also call upon a few teams for some scrims so we can get a better idea of the hotspots on the map as its hard to test things with no one to vs. As soon as this is done we can draw up a rule set, listing banned weapons and maps available for offer.
The Black Ops 2 forums have officially opened so if you would like to discuss the game and see what others have to say, then you can do so at our official
Black Ops 2 Forums. There are already a few detailed threads in the section with more information on the specifics of the game (we have lean!).
As always we will keep you up to date with any progress that we may make, particularly if more information is released that has a big impact on the game (Mod tools???). All future threads relating to the game will be found in the BO2 Forum section.
We're excited to begin testing the new game as some of the current confirmed details look very promising.
