Okay so for the past week I have been running a poll with the question "Would your team be interested in a Cod:MW2 Aus Circuit?". The results have been rather positive with over 300+ votes.most of which have gone towards 'Yes' (77%) and 'Depends' making up an additional 13%.
Firstly I wish to explain exactly what a 'MW2 Circuit' is and how We (ACLpro) will run it. Okay so basically it will stretch over a whole year and consist of 3 Online Competitions and 3 Lan Stops along the East Coast of Australia (Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane). Each Lan event will house both AusHalo and the MW2 Circuit (Still to be Named).
We are currently working out the structure for the competition. But we will have a top 8 'Pros' Bracket so the top teams can slug it out without interfering with the 'Opens' Bracket which will house the other teams. and the lower teams wont have to worry about the 'Pro' teams, so everybody can have a good shot at winning a little slice of the competition.
The Circuit will run a little something like this.
March: Online competition
April: Sydney LAN
June: Online Competition
July: Melbourne LAN
September: Online Competition
October: Brisbane FINALS LAN
This will have no direct Impact on Cybergamer and we wish to work close with Cybergamer to really push competitive gaming here in Australia. The online competitions will only stretch over 3 days and will have no impact what so ever on the Cybergamer ladders. ACL does not want to be affiliated with a 'Ladder' setting and will leave it to Cybergamer to bring you a professional ladder feel to your gaming experience.
The ACLPro website is currently under construction with the old website still online gathering dust. But once the new ACLpro site is up and running it will combine both AusHalo and the MW2 Circuit in one convenient location. Aushalo's current site will slowly fade away and be removed a month after the release of the new ACL site. Some features you will find on the new ACL site include.
Pro Gamer profiles. We will see who the top players are, their favorite game types and what controller settings they use.
Pro Gamer lessons. A structured lesson regime where ACL backed Pros offer hints, tips and advice on your gameplay. A set lesson structure and careful tutor selection will ensure pros won't rip you off.
Resource Centre. A section with guides, videos and setups from the community and ACL that will help newbies come to terms with their favorite game, LANs and online tech widgetry.
Social Pit. Alongside the 2010 Pro Circuit, ACL will have a section dedicated to the social aspect of our favourite games. We're not all 'pro' and nor should we be. Expect ACL backed competitions and specific forums to discuss this tom foolery in.
Captured VoD. Rebroadcasts as well as POVs. This aspect is still under review pending audience demand.

For those net enthusiasts out there, here's an update on what tech specifics we'll be using on the new site. We have an IPB license purchased, and a site being designed as we write. We have chosen to steer clear of a Joomla based content management system this time to ensure fast, crisp loading times and better integration between the actual site and the forums.
We are still on track for beta release of the new site for February 2010. Thanks for your patience and we look forward to a massive year for 2010.
I have been assigned to handle the MW2 side of the new ACL website and work hard I will. Some items that are currently being worked on by myself and some other staff members at ACL include: Rule Sets, Cod Layout for the site, Competition Structure, Venues and Prizes. I will be at every event and most likely refereeing some of the online games. At each event I will go by the title of 'Advisor' and will handle all the mw2 side of the comp. eg. Reports of Rule Breaking and Reports of Cheating. I will not hesitate to remove people from the competition and the event for breaking any of the rules laid out on the day.
Will keep you updated on any changes to any part of ACL. Will also add to this post if anything arises that we feel the public must know.
Update* Thanks to Vanzr

As Nocturnal said, gathering dust.
The circuit will work like so: You gain points for each event you attend. If we follow the same structure as Halo, the online events are weighted less than a LAN event. This encourages ppl to follow the circuit and support competitive gaming in Aus.
The FINALS event will be determined by points accumulated over the season. This means, that the more points you earn from entering the events will affect your seed in the finals event. If you only rock up to the finals event you can still win it, but you will have a lesser seed than someone that has attended 2-3 LANS in the season. The best team will always win though.
It's a complicated structure, we will further explain it on our site soon.
