As the CyberGamer Premier League gains momentum we will be bringing you these updates to show you just who is getting behind your gaming. Well today we welcome CM Storm, the gaming arm of CoolerMaster. CM Storm has for a couple of years now been expanding and refining its range of gaming specific cases, peripherals, and accessories and with this latest announcement their involvement with the Australian gaming community.

The last time we have seen CM Storm highly active in our scene was back in the Kode5 days which CM Storm was a major sponsor. The good news is they are back and back to stay supporting Australian gamers and working with you to help you reach the pinnacle of your game. They hit the ground running with sponsorships of two of Australia's gaming houses Team Exile5 and Vox Eminor but have expanded that support to the wider community.

So with today's announcement we will give you a sneak peek into their gaming world and over the coming months we will expand on this with more product reveals so you can learn a bit more about the company and the products they make. So without further adieu here is a sneak peak at the CM Storm Skorpion, a mouse bungee designed to keep your aim smooth and consistent, and not a battle with your snagged mouse cord.

So where when why how and whatever?
Okay so most of us have been in this situation, you have arranged a vast amount of hardware and general junk on your desk, you're going for that big play and....no you caked it because your mouse cord has snagged under the corner of your monitor stand and restricted your movement.

With this simple concept CM Storm has addressed this issue by creating a weighted stand with rubber pads for traction which elevates your mouse cable and gives you a length of cable to your liking that's free of snagging. This simple but useful product eliminates the need for blu tack or sticky tape to give you a mouse cable buffer to stop snagging.

As you can see I have my Skorpion setup in front of my monitor, it keeps the loose cable down the back of the desk and enough length to my mouse that I can freely move my mouse through all 4 edges of the mouse pad with no resistance. This is pretty basic stuff in the end but it's a really valuable toy to have on the desk because when you are gaming there is nothing more annoying than having to yank on your mouse to free up some cable.

The base has a heavy iron core, this is to keep it from flying around the desk with your rapid mouse movements and each of its three legs also has a rubber foot which adds traction to keep the bungee where its meant to be. The arm for the cable is made from flex rubber which allows some give if you do run out of cable and it also has a sleeved topside for the mouse cord. Being that the cord sleeve is rubber it will suit either thick or thin mouse cords.

So there you have it a simple concept with a real purpose, welcome to the CGPL CM Storm its great to have you here.
