Hey I have just finished downloading americas army 3, now I wasnt to sure if it was the best one I just got it as it was the lastest one out. Im curious if anyone has it and Would like to play some time? And if anyone has any pointers

sadly the game has to many issues to be played even in pub (massive lag when the server gets more than 10 ppl in), and high system requirements and a very buggy launch killed the game, pity as it had alot of potential

and beware of the aa trolls

maybe one day it might be good

game's been out a over year im told. same 5 maps still? dev teamed fired 1 year ago... hmmmm??

you got people who consistently survive head shots no matter how many times you lay into them with sniper rifle, and you got people who have no recoil on their m249's shooting people across the map (fully auto-sniping for the win!)

you got people who find wall glitches consistently all over maps (rampant on bridge) where they crouch, push their gun *through the wall*, and then lean - on your screen they appear as nothing more than a few pixels in a corner at best, completely invisible in most cases - yet they have full view of you and can pick you off. this is *not the same* as a sniper who has chosen a good hiding spot - because of the laws of physics they can still be seen with a sharp eye and taken out - no, these glitchers cannot readily be discerned from the ambient environment and they rack up the kills. i did not know what was going on at first ("[TOS Violation]! how did he hit me? where is he? i dont see him anywhere" until i noticed my own team mates doing the same thing on bridge and in the greenhouses on ranch - yes they push their guns through the bricks in the greenhouses, crouch, and lean. when i try the same thing all i see is a wall obstructing my vision.

there's also people who seem to have super - human reflexes and flawless aiming... i have my sights up, an enemy walks across the room... i start laying into the side of his body and suddenly *bip* he turns and instantly has a head shot on me and keeps going. what?! people also use the same "thing" on ranch map... this guy braddock_brasil or w/e, sitting up in the house... we had three people on windmill, myself on the far left, someone on the actual windmill, and someone on the far right... i see someone in the window, i line up my sights and i hear three shots and we're all dead, less than 1 seconds. the other two people confirmed they were killed by braddock_brasil and they all had headshots. this isn't even humanly possible. this same player was a few minutes later confirmed dead upstairs - after he'd taken a nade to the face and a dozen body shots.

i experience this type of stuff in every single game i play in. there was a guy *moving through walls* in one server, he had [!] before his name and when i complained about his glitching/hacking, his clan buddies denied it "no he's just good u suck". nice. i really had fun switching teams and tsing them for about 10 minutes before server admin banned me.

if you talk about it in game or on the forum people say "weird i never experience that" (must play on private "clan servers" then) or "its just lag" (really my ping is never over 40) or "you just suck" and when you report to server admins they ban YOU instead.

yes there is something seriously wrong with this game. if it is *not* people cheating/hacking/glitching, then i would have to say this game just plain sucks and i don't see it going anywhere. a couple friends at work who played aa and aa2 said they tried it and quit after one day. i lasted two weeks.
