I have made a fairly comprehensive clean-up of the rules and I hope they should be easier to understand and follow.

Just to keep you all in the know, we have indeed settled on the 4 month season and I have adjusted the dates in the OP to reflect finals dates and ladder locks.

Keep in mind the ladder will lock on Sunday the 23rd of May, and that any matches not completed by this date will be canceled. Thank you.

Congratulations to teams who have secured a position in the top 8 rankings. The ladder has now been locked, and teams that have ended up in a top 8 ranking will be participating in the ladder finals series. All currently scheduled games will be canceled to preserver current ladder positions. The finals will be a single elimination series. The following teams will be matched in the first round of 8:

Round of 8. To be completed by 30th May - 3rd June
[Game 1]donniewahlberg? v Roflstompers
[Game 2]The First Rule v ThinkPOL
[Game 3]The Ruffians v Perfect Insanity
[Game 4]Traces of Pipes v Trigger Happy

The following games will be scheduled for the following round of 4:
Round of 4. To be completed by 6th June - 10th June
[Game 5]Winner Game 1 v Winner Game 4
[Game 6]Winner Game 2 v Winner Game 3

Finally, the following games will be scheduled for the last round:
Final Round. To be completed by June 20th
[Game 7]Winner Game 5 v Winner Game 6 (Grand Final)
[Game 8]Loser Game 5 v Loser Game 6 (for third place)

A discussion thread will be posted up for each match, for teams to vote on maps and a time to play. Maps, and the match time, will need to be negotiated in the match thread for each game.

Match time can be negotiated freely, through the match thread or through other means, but the final time must be posted to the thread so a server can be secured. Servers will be provided by CyberGamer, and no server will need to be arranged by either team. Each finals match will have a ladder admin to referee, to operate the server and to ensure the rules are being followed. Please try and organise your match to be on one of the specified dates. If for some reason teams cannot agree on a date in this time period the match may be delayed, but please note that this will hold up the following round's matches and would be inconvenient to other teams.

For this season's finals, all matches will be in the same format. Each match will be played to best of three maps. Each CP map will be first to 5 captures or highest score after 30 minutes. cp_gravelpit will be best of three rounds, with teams alternating starting sides for each round. In the case of an even score on a map, another round will be played, with the winner of this round taking a win for the map. A third map is only to be played in case of a tied score. Maps are selected by teams from a pool of 5 maps, which will be:
- cp_granary
- cp_badlands
- cp_gravelpit
- cp_freight_final1
- cp_fastlane

All of these maps are the standard maps available to all TF2 users, they do not need to be downloaded.

For each match, the lower ranked team will nominate a map to be eliminated from the map pool. The other team will then eliminate a map and pick one to play. The lower ranked team will then pick the second map to play. The remaining map will be the tiebreaker map. The tiebreaker map will only be played in cases where teams have a win each on the previous maps. If one team wins both of the first two maps, the third map will not be played. Once a team has eliminated a map they may not eliminate the same map again throughout the finals series.

Finally, any teams or players which have questions or issues pertaining to the finals please send me PM on CG, or message me on Steam, both with username jtm33, or a PM on CG to Frost Bite.

Good luck to all teams.
