Last night a long open discussion about acl occurred on vent with vanzo answering a number of questions about the event, whilst getting some tips bout mw2.
After the chat myself and saint asked vanzo if we could hold a 1 day comp to help promote the acl lans and give players an understanding about a potential ruleset.
The one day comp will be held on sunday the 14th of this month, with 16 teams being allowed to compete in the event. It will be similar to the Christmas comp, as in all results etc will be posted in the forums and it run from forums here on cg.
The exact time that this will start on the 14th will be confirmed by weekends end. And duke will be asking if bio can shoutcast a few games throughout the day so that the community can listen in.
REGISTRATION:
Registration will close on Wednesday the 10th at 12pm aedt.
It will be 16 teams playing on the day if that many can be achieved and it will NOT be first in best dressed for spots. May sound weird but this idea has come about so that POTENTIAL lanning players and teams can get a feel of what it will be like so they can decide if its really worth attending.
I cant stress this enough that if your not interested in mw2 lans then dont bother putting a team in as i want player who want to lan in this competition.
So myself saint will pretty much allow every1 in but if i think your not going to lan then i might say you cant play if there are alot of people wanting to play. If not lots then any1 can play.

The rules are Almost exactly the same as cg except on 2 fronts. Its best of 5 not best of 3.
And if its a draw on ctf you dont replay round you go to touch the flag.
The order will be similar to this for gametypes:
Round 1: Demo/SnD/CTF/SnD/Demo
Round 2: Demo/SnD/CTF/SnD/CTF
Round 3: Demo/SnD/CTF/SnD/Demo
Etc
So you will mix up between playing demo and ctf twice each time with search always being played twice.
