With all the ambiguity surrounding the ongoing issue of wait binds, weapnext binds, and packet binds it is time to lay it straight. As the rules state, the use of a bind or script in game is illegal. Simple as that.

This includes (for clarity's sake) some of the favourites of many of you (and yes we have been watching you for a week or two now):
maxpackets or packetdup binds along side your movement keys
weapnext; wait x; weapnext binds - even without +attack on them

If you are found to have an illegal bind or script in your configuration through the traces that will be run at least 3 times during a single map match, then you will be subject to a match ban. If it is found that you actually used any of these binds, then your team will lose the round in which the bind was used as a minimum, and this may scale up to a match loss depending on the level of use involved. Of course, all penalties are at the discretion of the admins, and these may apply on the fly in game, or after the match as appropriate.

If it creates anything of the warping, then of course it'snot going to be allowed, but if you are purely toggling your rate based on your connection, then it will be fine. Use common sense, if you're trying to create some sort of advantage for yourself in using the bind or script, then it's likely you shouldn't be using it. If it's just optimising your connection to a server and making your game smoother (which is the intention of the various commands being exploited) then it's fine.

If you're not sure, then ask an admin.

They have always been illegal narkie, it'sjust now they are becoming rife in the community, and things like maxpacket + movement binds are taking it to extremes.

It's simple, all you have to do is just into cod4, don't enter into a server and type /bindlist in console.
Look through your list for stringed binds that usually have are listed like this for maxpackets binding:
[key] "+forward ; cl_ ~~~"

Or if you've got the weapnext bind it'll of course look like:
[key] "+weapnext ; wait 2 ; +weapnext" or some other variant of that.
If it just plainly looks like the one below then that's the only allowed binding for it
[key] "+weapnext"

Just simply type in /unbind [key] and then remap it through going into your controls. Not all that hard and it's pretty easy to fix up so there shouldn't be any whinging about it being too hard to do.
