Moving into round 3 (the finals series)
Come round three i will scrap the current brackets and implement something a little neater than excel because come round three now that the bulk of the eliminations have been done we are switching to dual rounds.
How this works
- A referee will be appointed to your match, you have all seen the video casts, these will either be like casters standing in very high and tactically useless places or roaming the hills to the right hand side of the map with binoculars in their hands. Be aware of them if you see a lone sniper sitting high on a roof or up in the hills its just your referee or shoutcaster.
- Stopwatch mode will come into effect, the referee will upon the round going live start a timer, you have 30 minutes to destroy as many objectives as possible. Once your time has elapsed or all CP's have been destroyed the round will either end or the referee will call an end to the round. Once your appointed referee has called "Time Elapsed" all fighting is to cease as no further defensive kills will be counted.
The team listed as challenging on the match details page will start on attack, the one listed as defending on defense.
So how do i win the match?
- By destroying all 8 control points in 30 minutes.
- If the enemy team also achieves this the team who destroys all 8 the fastest will win.
- If neither team achieves this the first consideration is how many CP's were destroyed before time elapsed, the higher amount being the winner.
- If both teams do not destroy all 8 control points in 30 minutes but also destroy the same amount of control points the team with the higher ticket count as attackers will be announced the winner.
- If neither team captures any control points and both run out of tickets the team that lasted the longest on attack will be awarded the winner.
Referee judgement's are final, you will not receive any time left warnings and please stay after the second round to verify the winner with the referee. Abuse towards referees will not be tolerated any player reported to be doing so will be removed from the competition and may face match bans into the initial release of the new game.
