If you're looking for a local center to bug, the Steam Cafe website works pretty well as a directory listing for most of the cafes in Australia. There's a couple of central brissy ones by the looks of it.

out of the many i know of probably the best suggestions would be westside, the bunker and cyber lounge.

all fairly good computers and easy to travel to.

need one in sydney city imo.
