Truerank COD4 is broken into a pro and amatuer league. The pro league has cash prizes and set entry fees. Both leagues use the same settings and rules:

·All matches are played in a 4v4 format in Search and Destroy mode.
·
Matches consist of Thirty-Two rounds (two sixteen round halves). In the event of a draw, the overtime system comes into the fold, consisting of SIX rounds (two THREE round halves) until a winner is found. Thus, no match will result in a draw.

The bomb timer is set at 45 seconds, bomb planting time – 3 seconds, bomb defusing time – 7 seconds.

True Rank reserves the right to change these rules and information without prior notice:

edit: We will be moving to promod for this coming season - so stress less about hardcore. Ill update rules and settings soon. But 4v4 will be staying for at least one more season.

Yeah very true. We figured why not do it a bit different? We might look at changing it to bring it into line with Cybergamer but at the moment 4v4 it is.

im guessing 32 rounds are like cs so why not 5 like cs and how cod has always been as hektik explained.

5v5 is the preferred size world-wide.

would be better if it was a 5v5 comp. i don't mind it being out of 32 rounds. on another note how are the pro and amateur leagues being divided?

The pro league has a set entry fee and is limited to 8 teams. Because this is the 1st pro season we are basically taking all comers -first 8 teams to pay will get in. At the moment there is 5 team spots left available.

The amateur league has unlimited teams (in the past we have had 2 or 3 skill divisions so new players dont get smashed). Entry fee is paid to the game centres you play at and is determined by them.

Hey guys, this new format will take a bit of getting used to but looks like a larger user base.
I notice a few posters saying why 4v4 and not 5v5 ....Well as it has been 4v4 since I started back at the start of the year the 4v4 is 1. easyier to get players into the cafe to play instead of 5v5
2. made the maps/matchs fairly quick as you could split into 2 2man squads and know that the oponent could only do the same so you didn't get rolled before support arrived.
Looking forward to seeing more cafe based teams for next season.

Is it a requirement that all participating LAN places must cater for all the games.

As the Cyberplex in Redlands would be the best option for me and some other people however last I checked they didn't have COD4 on PC.

It is not a requirement but Daniel at Cyberstrike in Redlands tells me he definitely has COD4 on PC.

No you can have a cafe that only plays in one of teh games if thats all they have. For example we here at GUN played DOTA 5v5, CSS 5v5, COD4 4v4 in the first term of school of this year, DOTA 5v5, CSS 5v5, COD4 4v4 and DOW:SS (had 3 individual players) in the second school term but last term we only had COD4 going which we ended up getting 2nd in Division 2

Dumb question as I haven't been to Redlands for years (my little bother was in the first class at redland high when it first opened and my Dad used to live in Boronia St(I think thats how it was spelt)) but where is the cyberplex?

Oh ok, looking back now I've actually got two different places mixed up.

The Cyberplex is a new LAN cafe at Victoria Pt Cinemas. Cyberstrike however would be the place at Alexandra Hills I think??

I haven't been to the Cyberstrike but after seeing this new section i'd be more keen to visit there then the Cyberplex.
