I agree with the fine balance thing but lets put it this way. The G3 is a 7.62 NATO round Assault rifle. It has to be fired single shot due to the power of the round (most 7.62x51mm rifles are). So why does the AK with running 7.62x39mm Warsaw pact ammo (less powerful and less accurate) do more damage? There is a problem with basics in this game in that regard. Plus you have to take into account barrel length, muzzle velocity, type of round (though I would assume its standard FMJ), etc...

As far as this mod goes to correcting things, they could have done with a little bit of expertise in real guns to mod them to being correct damage (but then it would count as a realism mod too). Sorry just me running away with detail again I suppose.

In some ways I guess, but realism can add when its meant to be a game depicting realism (to a degree at least).

Thing is just some simple research would have set the guns up to be much more lifelike and also better balanced because of it.
