I would like to dispute the match tonight between Ju1cy and BS.

After the first round - BS attacking, and Ju1cy defending - Ju1cy had begun their attack, and the match referee, Tweek, asked both teams if they would like a break. By this time, Ju1cy had already cleared out the first area, and point B from the second one. As the discussion went on as to whether a break should be taken or not, Ju1cy had finished capturing the second area, and was beginning to assault the third. By our internal counter, this was at around the 6 minute mark.

The referee, Tweek, asked all members to swap sides and then restarted the match. If this was the proposed "break," it neither served as one, nor is such a concept mentioned at all in the rules.

Ju1cy wants to dispute the match, as the restart meant that BS had half a round to experience Ju1cy's tactics, and in the second round, heavily countered them as best they could.

The contributing factors are: the fact that the rules do not state that there is to be a break between rounds, that it was not brought up prior to the match starting, and that the referee asked if either team wished to take a break, rather than stated that there was to be a break or not.

We wish to raise this issue, as we feel a little cheated out of what could have been a more fair result, and to try and help clarify the rules of the competition.

Ju1cy's time: 19:23
BS's time: Around 18 Minutes (We were never informed as to BS's official time, only that we had lost. This was the time recorded by one of our team members)

yeah, I was pretty gutted when we had to restart, we had an awesome roll-out and basically had them on the back foot. Having the break felt like we had just given them a practice run with our strat, and when the second game begin we really got bogged down at the first and second points as they countered our tactics a lot better

I'm not gutted about the loss, however, i do understand my fellow team members' angst about the result of the match. To be honest, i had no idea wtf was going on the whole time, i just played the game.

However, in saying this, i did take notice of the restart that occurred shortly after we commenced our attack of the points. And i think a reprimand is in order, for the Administrator's disorganization and lack of communication with the players to make them clear on the rules prior to the game.

In light of this, i also believe, that it should be mandatory to specifically state each and every rule of the match before the match commences. Even if it grows to annoy people.

p.s. i do not agree with the use of the word "fair" in this dispute. As i feel it implies a level of cheating or corruption, which i certainly hope is not in any way associated with the entirety of all peoples involved with this game, site and so forth.

So long and thanks for all the fish

All matches had a break in the middle, it DOES state to follow the referees instructions. If the ref didnt say are you ready to go live, ok going live it wasnt live was it?

I do get what you mean lads but in the end the ref cant correctly time the rounds (accurately aswell) unless a restart is done for each round to ensure the timing is right.

We were asked if we were ready to go live at the beginning of the match.

Then BS attacked, Ju1cy defended. The round restarted, and Ju1cy attacked, BS defended. Halfway through this round, Tweek asked if we wanted a break. When the BS folks said that they did, he asked us to swap teams, and then restarted the round again.

We followed the ref's instructions, but the thing is, the round started, and then a while in, the referee asked us if we wanted a break, to which we said no, we didn't need or want one, because it was a bit late, and BS said yes they would.

Talnoy, you fail to see the point that the Referee did not at any point state that there was to be a break between rounds. Also, the [BS] side, wasn't even aware of the second round.

Guys if you wanted to dispute you should have done so when we put the scores in, I don't think you can now, since you accepted it.

I was under the impression that there would be a brief period for both teams to gather make squads and I was taking my time and talking to the guys congratulating them, as it was the fastest we'd taken down the M-Coms, in any match.

I believe, that the ref should have stated what was going to happen at then end of the 1st round to avoid confusion

and OP the Ref DID state the times, and declared BS the winners. It takes time to type it all out accurately and by the time he did so most of your team left. In case you were wondering no I didn't get a screenie of it..

we weren't aware of the second round? meaning we didn't know there was one? OF course we knew.

The ref cannot state it at the end of the round because it goes into the next round immediately
thats why we have a break so ref can give you your target.

We were not informed of this before the match, we even asked Tweek pre-match how the rules worked, and this was not brought up.

Furthermore, Tweek did not bring up the concept of a break until six minutes into - what we assumed was - our attacking round.

I've never heard of this break, apparently the team we played didn't either as both teams accepted it was instantly live (as every other match we've played).

The ref in our game didn't ask if we wanted a break AFAIK.

So, for future reference Talnoy, the second round is never live?
