ok well this week is supposed to be the first week from what ive read previously.

how is everything run?

as in is there servers hosted to play in?

how do we find out where we're playing each week? and who we're playing?

what is the format etc? ive seen numerous times "format to be updated soon" but yet to see a new format. o.O

For the TrueRank competition you go to your registered internet cafe around 30 mins to 1hr before the schedualed time, make sure your team is there or on there way. The server details will be told to you by your cafe staff allong with any password details. Please try to get your team into the servers approx 15 mins before game time.

Once both teams are ready then you can start early otherwise wait till the schedualed time. Your cafe admin/staff will tell you which side you are to join on with the team listed first going opfor and the second team going marine/sas.

At half time the captain takes a screenie or you can try to organise a cafe staff to do this for you in some cafes. It should automaticaly switch sides 1/2 way through and you play the last half. You play a total of 32 rounds all up and the team with 17 or more wins (if they get to 17-0 then please keep playing as your score does count towards personal scores as well as team scores) At the end take a screenie.

This is where I'm hazy on as I'm new to cybergamer. But.....both captains are to log onto this website and add the scores into the relevant sections. If both teams add the same figures as is well and 24 hours after the match it is processed. If both teams enter different figures then if goes into disput and screenies are needed.

Last couple fo seasons we have either entered the scores and screenies onto the truerank.com.au forum or emailed/gtalked them through to GUF and the website was updated. With CyberGamers running the admin side this time round and with a more automatic system the first week will find any bugs involved.

Main thing is to talk to your cafe staff and ask them for details. Hopefully Mark from GUF will post the draw buy wednesday afternoon.

Np Chrome, you can call me EK....its a little easier to type and the guys at GUN have turn it into ecki or afek (as I get customers part way through a game and have to alt tab out )

Currently don't know about the settings, still awaiting Marks orders but he was talking about leaving this seasons as is and going to pro mod for the next but it depends if the promod is as easy to impliment and train us cafe staff as the pa mmod was.

COD4 rules

True Rank reserves the right to change these rules and information without prior notice:

Information
· All matches are played in a 4v4 format in Search and Destroy mode.
· Promod with MR16 will be used (ie will end on 32 rounds played)
· All players are encouraged to enter the Truerank servers early and familiarise themselves with the perks and weapons available

Rules
1. All players must use their registered names. Changing names and offensive names will result in team forfeit.
2. Forms of harassment, such as abuse, racism, sexism, threats and accusations of
hacking, including excessive swearing will not be tolerated.
3. Any proven hacking will result in the player being banned and the severe consequences for the game centre involved. It is the responsibility of game centre management to ensure their PCs are hack free.
4. All players must record a demo of their matches. To do this: open console (~ key), type /record and press ENTER. Failure to produce a demo at the request of a referee will result in team forfeit.
5. Glitching and Scripting are considered illegal and unfair and will result in the loss of any rounds where they are used. Glitching by definition: where a player is in a position that allows him to see his opponent however his opponent cannot see him. Weaponry and jumping scripts provide an unfair advantage, thus their use is illegal. Pretty much any bind that has a "wait" command in it is going to be considered "scripting".
6. In the event of two teams on equal points at the end of the season, making it uncertain who will be in the final, a 10 round playoff shall be played to see who will advance to the finals. This playoff will be conducted on the same night as the final. In the even of a score of 5 all, a further 4 rounds will be played, and repeated until a winner is found. These scores will not be counted in individual ladders.

The ruleset:
· 6 second strat time
· 3 SMG limit - with the promod smg fix
· 1 sniper - with awp fix
· No-sway fix
· 45 second bomb fuse
· 1:45 minute round length
· 5 second plant time
· 7 second defuse time
· Codqcup fall damage
· LMG Disabled
· Red-dot sight disabled
· Bandolier/stopping power fixed perks

it is way to easy to use :> recoil on guns without the red dot is alot harder to control then the little red dot going up and down.

for example try out yourself an ak47 or ak 74 without the red dot for a round then with it for a round. you will notice a difference.

secondly, you have a wider vision with the red dot.

Yes it is definatley promod.

Also please be aware that it is 7pm qld time, 8pm in daylight savings time and Ithink it would be either 5pm or 6pm if you are in WA (though please don't quote me on the WA as I don't know the time difference as I have lived all my life on the side where the sun risers )

Edited once, 16/10/08 - 12:22pm.
