Just reading alot of the euro cod clan forums and there is a big move to remove sprint and cookable nades.

Anyones thoughts?

I personally reckon removing both would be awesome. Would slow the game down, make people focus on aim more and less on sprint+jump corners.

Also hit-registration would be improved.

note: Removing cookable nades + sprint are both server side svars that are already in the beta, so easy to test.

I'd like to see this implemented.

I think a lot of people QQ when they are shooting players who are mid sprint and get no reg.

i was actually disappointed when i saw sprint/cookable nades, to be honest, if we take them out and balance the weapons i think the game will be pretty good, i'm actually more optimistic NOW than before the beta...

It'll probably be like a shiny, upgraded version of COD2

I think removing sprint would be a great idea, but there is no point unless you are able to run faster with your pistol/SMG like in CoD1/2. Sprinting makes me dizzy as hell, so much bobbing.

why dont we just remove guns seeing as most of you can't aim.

non-cookable nades will make no impact anyway, as people will use them like the did in DoD (throw to ground then pick/throw again)

sprinting is good shit, makes the game more aggressive and fast paced. Keep it with some decent bolt actions and l2aim imo.

Non-cookable nades make a big different, btw i'm fairly sure in pam/promod picking up nades is disabled.

Judging from the few scrims i've played against qmx on castle, they're main strat is nading the **** out of b and rushing it with thommies, seems lame but its the best thing going around atm and seems so much more effective then a slow-picking game.

Sprinting = horrible. Half the reason ******* speds like zenaku can get kills... no punt zenaku hahah ur a mad **** but ******* u anooy me with your gameplay

yea, I see your point. But atleast theres a challenge, if theres rego in place and no ******ry regoshield I don't mind sprinting at all. I'm just over the playstyle from CS, getting sick of just AK battles with clickpopping heads, gets boring quickly.

At first I hated it tbh, but its grown on me, same as cooking etc. If pick/throwing nades is disabled then meh, why dont we just nerf the damage to something like 80 in pam? I sincerely hope theres no disable on picking up nades, that was one of the things about this game that attracted me.

Zenaku is a sped, you don't have to apologize to him.

I think it would be absolutely disgusting. Imagine rotating from one bombsite to another at jogging pace instead of sprinting. If the maps are anything like the ones in the beta.. **** that.

Also using hit-registration as a reason to remove sprint is just stupid. I haven't had an issue hitting a player that is sprinting, nor should that even be considered a reason to remove sprint.

As for cookable nades, couldn't care less. They do such little damage it wouldn't really matter.

Finally I think with sprint on, it still requires aim and focus, if anything I think it would require and equal amount if not more of it.
I don't see too much of a benefit from removing sprint, it just slows the game down that much more. I mean the game is a LOT slower than CoD4 is. I'm sure the people who could handle CoD4 can handle playing WaW with sprint enabled.

Yeah we preety much follow what euro do.. Same with cod4 i imagine.

Xcel brought up a interesting point about running between bomb sites. I guess its hard to judge as we dont know all the maps that are coming out yet.

If they are anything like castle and makin, i dont see crossing between bombsites to be too hard. If they are like the other one, then yeah i agree.

Although i still think the benefits from removing sprint far outweigh that. Lets try and bring back some of the skill in the game, god knows how anooying it is to be killed by some lil dickweed of a player you know that your 10x better than purely cause he jumped the corner at the right time. I dont really expect the cgm/cgo players to agree wtih me; as spraying and praying is what they rely on, but i'm sure that the CGi players will see where i'm coming from.

promod isnt being made for cod5 which was the euro mod/ruleset.
Maybe ask Bulletworm to make a pam ruleset for that stuff since aparently its only server sides commands........ Also reading some usa forums and they think if you take out sprint there isnt enough time to run from 1 bombsite to the other kill and defuse. Thoughts?
