Hey all just been told we have COD5 in store....going to work in a couple of hours so will try to find a time to play it.
Anyone here played?
Whats it like?
Is there a single player version?
Those other cafes that have it can we organise a time/date to have a few of us newbies play an online game of it together?
Whats involved with getting a COD5 server up and going for TrueRank so we can play on to learn ?

Oh well looks like it was a hoax...its only the beta and it doesn't work anyway when you start it up at the start it plays the video clips, then asks for an online profile and no matter what profile name you type in it comes up with the error like if you pressed cancel even when I have pressed ok or the enter key saying you need a profile to play online

Will try to get it fixed this afternoon so I can have a good.

One of these days I'll start to follow the gaming community with what games are coming out and when but to me they are just games and i'll play them if I see someone else playing them or on the shelf

No probs EK.

The beta is out at the moment. The launch party for COD5 is on this weekend in Melbourne and I understand it goes on sale to the public next Wednesday.

Some people have had a lot of problems getting the beta to work so its not just you.

Massive issue with the beta and Vista as the DX9c version that it needs isn't included with it.

My copy was complaining about missing a file called d3d9c_37.dll.

The web installer for DX9C fixed it though. I tried the redistributable first and that didn't work.

Hope this helps.

By the look of it each PC will now require it's own key with COD5

Some Cyber-Cafes will have trouble with this because they clone/image their PCs with something like Ghost so even tho they have enough licenses and all PCs connect via the same IP with the same key, NO GO.

Batch files or similar will have to be used to execute and install registry hacks to deploy individual keys to each PC. Messy but it should work.

Ta,
SCSI.
