imo, there shouldnt be a death penalty.

i know there are cases where it seems reasonable (mass killings) but i really think that a life sentence is the easy way out.

i think a life imprisonment with 1hour of daily sunshine is a far more punishable force.

Ok lets keep them in jail for 35 years.

1 day in jail for 1 person cost $20 per day

$7,300 a year to keep 1 person in jail
$36,500 to keep 1 person in jail for 5 years.

Ok let him stay their for another 30 years

$219,000 to punish him.

If we had the death penalty we would be saving $182,500 for every person serving a life sentence. (If he waited 5yrs to get killed)

10 people free $1mil that could be pumped into our economy/health/school/roads/something worth while.
