Hey all, heres a direct copy/paste from the TRUERANK forums.
Get into it!
----------------------------------------------------------
Truerank Season 7, is set to begin on the week starting Monday Feb 02. The season will run for 8 weeks in total. For those of you new to Truerank, the basic premise is that all teams play at their local game centre. This ensures games are cheat free, professionally run and organised. Many game centres actively sponsor their teams and support their efforts to move into pro competitions like WCG.
Here is the schedule for the games and times:
Dota 5v5 -xl - tuesdays at 7pm edst, run by CyberBunker. Will be running latest 'stable map' (6.57b)
CoD4 Amatuer (4v4, HC, pam4) - thursdays at 7pm edst, run by The Island
CoD4 Pro (5v5, promod) - thursdays at 8pm edst, run by Guf
The first week will be 'green week' - a test run to iron out any bugs, server issues etc, and in particular to ease the new teams in. As such, green week will not be ranked and any scores will not be counted towards the ladder.
The next 6 weeks (9 feb to 23 mar) will hold the ranked league games, with the finals being played in the week starting 24 mar.
The schedule and games remain much the same as last season, the main difference being that the CoD4 Amateur League will go back to HC pam4 mod (the season 5 format), while the CoD4 Pro League will run promod as per season 6. Also, the proleague will be 5v5 this time around, and the entry fee will be $200 per team. Last season over $1200 was hamded out in cash prizes.
Dota 5v5 will have 2 divisions, same as last season. The winners of last season's div2 will compete in div1 this season, while the losers of div1 will go down to div2.
The Island have expressed interest in a Sunday CoD4 league; this is not finalised yet.
We have dropped the Dota 2v2 -om due to a lack of demand, however this can be reinstated if enough peope are keen.
