History:

HYPE Gaming originated as a counter-strike: source team in Brisbane, Australia.

In late 2008 alt24 and ironclaw founded a small team named Celsius along with the likes of JET / jiatt (now team lz), rabz (now clone), peppers (retired), fletchdawg (now team legacy), Denied (now ezmode) and after a few weeks Celsius then became HYPE, as Alt24 got permission from his rl friends. Around 10 months down the track, after CoD:WaW failed, 'HYPE' ended up going seperate ways.

-Meanwhile-
Started and funded by Noo5e [>Forward Gaming>], a breakaway team from ~Wings of Destiny~ called Delta Force, came to be. Around 1.5 to 2 months after formation Alt24 was recruited, he was known to us through our past clan and the trio of gaming brothers, Peppers, Ironclaw and Noo5e. Forward Gaming rapidly rose into the top 10's of the current CGO ladder.

Around a month later we then merged with HYPE Gaming and a team made by Bully, letting 'Forward Gaming' pick up Ironclaw and hopefully successfully run 2 teams in the Call of Duty 4 League. Although this didn't work well, with both teams breaking away HYPE had come to a standstill. However, Forward Gaming then then decided to return and do the original CoD4 HYPE team proud, and carry on the legend, renaming to HYPE indefinitely and bringing to you the HYPE Gaming you see still playing to this date.

A bunch of mates with a core 7, 6 of whom are our QLD lan team, that play the game together, as a TEAM and MATES.
