Saturday we ventured down to Melbourne to the Exhibition Centre to attend the E-Games expo. Firstly walking through the doors the event was a whole lot larger than last year, and much better set out.
We were immediately drawn to the Alienware area where they had 40 PCs setup playing Call of Duty: World at War and Red Alert 3. Torn between my two favourite games of the moment I flipped and coin and COD5 won. Half way through the round I joined SVT-40 in hand and managed to claw my way to the top of the Free-For-All score list.
I next set out to find somewhere that had Guitar Hero World Tour to play and was disappointed that I couldnt find it. GH3 but no GH4.
We then found ourselves drawn towards the E-Sports zone, and found ourselves on stage playing in a free for all comp against 5 other people and Inter from Team Immunity's CS 1.6 Team. SCSI failed, Raven failed a little harder and Brownie managed to faill less than both of us.
Point of Note: Microsoft Mouses DONT WORK on a cotton table cloth! FAIL
All in all it was a good event, even if we had to evacuate the entire Exibition Centre due to the fire alarm.
Looking forward to the event next year.
Thanks go...
So we are here at the Call of Duty : World At War game release at Swinburne University in Melbourne. Besides from the fact the event is a packed out success with a mile long cue, 100 PCs & 100 Xboxs all ripping up the title 4 days before release I thought it would be good to chat to some of the COD community leaders & passionate gaming groupies to hear their thoughts on the new title.

The game is great though I think in the xbox community it will struggle when compared to the new release of Gears of War 2.

I came in with low expectations though was quite impressed when playing the game, single player was great though quite easy to get my head around. Im not convinced it will take over COD 4 long term though will be great for a few months.

Great game with great graphics, I think the game will split the community up with the COD 4 fans holding out until the expansion & the classic period COD fans embracing COD5.

CyberGamer are pleased to announce that the good guys from V Energy Drink have offered up some product for the upcoming season of Call of Duty: World at War.
The top 3 places in the Call of Duty: World at War PC Ladder and the top 3 places in the Call of Duty: World at War XBOX360 Ladder will each receive two 24pk cases of V Energy Drink!
Hopefully, the community embraces V Energy Drink, so we can dish out more cases to as many gamers as possible in the future.
More prize announcements for the upcoming Call of Duty: World at War Ladders will be made closer to the start of the competitions.
Enjoy!
We have added a CoD5 ladder to CyberGamer. Feel free to sign up.
This is just in preparation for CoD5, obviously little else will be announced until CoD5 is out.

You will not be able to challenge until the game is out.
More info will be posted when it's out. This is simply for teams that know they will play.
The ladder will be first in first serve. So the quicker you join the ladder the better rank you will start with. However, I will be moving the CGi cod4 teams to the top of the ladder.
Thanks :)
