Cybergamer Battlefield 2142 Rules
Challenge Compliance Rules:
- Teams have untill 11:30pm on the day of there match to submit the results or there team will forfeit the result of that match.
- Challenges cannot be made on tuesdays as this is the scheduled maintenance day for Battlefield2142's Master Account Server.
- A minimum of 6 players per side is required to start a match, loading in any more than 8 players onto a match server may result in a forfeit if the opposing team feels this is an intentional act and submits a dispute.
- Teams who receive 3 forfeits will drop out of the ladder and have to reapply to join.
- Teams are required to have a minimum of 6 players in the server and the opposing team must allow that team the full 15 minutes to get sufficient numbers and remain in the server even if no other team members are there for the 15 minutes for the match to be complete and the other team forfeited. Its the team with numbers responsibility to submit a dispute if the team does not field the required numbers. If a team falls short in numbers they are required to play out the match reguardless.
- Upon the scheduled start time of the match the teams are allowed a maximum of 15 minutes to go live. Teams who are not ready to go live at the 15 minute mark will forfeit the result of that match and its the responsibility of the team who is waiting for a team to comply that must submit a dispute.
- Team members that have been banned from the forums are permitted to play in ladder matches, if a player loses there status and eligibility to play in the Cybergamer ladder that teams captain will be notified by PM by a ladder admin prior to there next match.
- Naming conventions. All players are required to enter a Cybergamer match server under there normal playing name displaying the tags of the clan they play for so both teams can readily verify and ensure that they are happy they are playing members of the team listed.
- Smurfing players into your ladder matches will result in that player being banned from Cybergamer and the offending team dropped to the bottom of the ladder. Captains are responsible for ensuring all the players joining the server at match time are members of there team.
- Players who have been banned may not return under alias, if a player is discovered to have returned to the ladder under alias the player will be banned again and the captains of that team may also find their team suffering ladder ranking penalty.
Server Admin Rules (RCON) Rules:
- RCON passwords are for captain and admin use only, the RCON system is logged and any player caught using RCON commands leaves the admins with the assumption that they have been told the RCON password by the captain of that team, the result of that match will be forfeited for the offending team.
- Changing the server settings using the RCON commands is prohibited, they are preset to match conditions and any team found modifying server side settings without admin approval pregame will find the result of that match a forfeit.
- Team captains reserve the right to kick or ban any player entering a match server THAT BOTH captains confirm is not a member of either of there teams or an admin or caster joining without the specified tags. Any captain using RCON to kick or ban a caster or admin from a match server whilst wearing CASTER or [CG] tags will find that match forfeited and there team dropped to the bottom of the ladder.
Rules that apply during the match:
- Players who are kicked from the server or disconnected for any reason during any match round are permitted to rejoin the match server but must immediately switch to the correct team, NO PLAYER is permitted to linger on the opposing team during match play or spawn in and then switch causing a loss of 1 ticket to the enemy team. If you are unable to switch without spawning in you must disconnect from the server and wait for the next round to rejoin.
- Teams wishing to dispute a match must remain in the server and complete the match, failure to complete the match or teams disconnecting from the server because they intend to dispute will have their dispute dismissed.
- Abusive global communications during a match will not be tolerated, teams suffering such abuse should take screenshots of the abuse and report it to admins and action will be taken. Global chat should be reserved for team captains to confirm there ready status, and for players to wish the other team best of luck.
Admins and Casters:
- Shoutcasters may enter the server at the time of the match to shoutcast your match, this is there privilege and are required to enter the match server wearing caster tags to identify themselves. Any claimed caster without tags may be removed by team captains once they have confirmed its not a legitimate player from either team.
- Ladder admins may enter the server either at the request of a team captain to resolve an ingame dispute, teams are strongly encouraged to complete the match and if they feel the need to dispute to do so after the match is completed. Ladder admins are required to join the server with the [CG] tag in there name.
Cheating and exploiting:
- Use of exploits or glitches in the game or maps will not be tolerated and offending teams will be dropped to the bottom of the ladder.
- Use of third party applications to enhance gameplay is strictly prohibited and offenders will be banned from the Cybergamer network. These include hacks or macros.
- Players who are punkbuster MBL listed for using any form of battlefield 2142 cheat are not permitted to play in the Cybergamer ladder. If a player feels these rulings are in error they are welcome to dispute the MBL listing but sufficient proof must be provided that they are not the player listed or a reasonable explanation exists. Teams breaching this rule will have the result of that match forfeited and that player will be banned from Cybergamer. Any player in the dispute process for the MBL rule is not eligible to compete untill that dispute is resolved.
These rules are subject to change during the course of the ladder season and all team captains will be notified via pm of any new changes and are expected to comply with these changes immediately.
