CyberGamer ODC2 - Customs

user

Might get a better image done, this one lacks impact.

Date: Sunday 18th July

On behalf of CyberGamer I would like to welcome you to the 2nd One Day Competition:
This will involve a full day of custom maps, some old, some new but all for keeps and some good fun along the way. The competition will be an 18 team double elimination format, which means for those who haven't participated in one yet, each team continues playing until they have recorded two match losses.

The cost for this event is $50 per team as detailed in Virol's original post regarding this competition, those who have already paid this entry fee can breath a sigh of relief.

The Entry Free MUST be paid by Friday 16th July 5PM AEST GMT +10.

The first 18 teams to have this paid will be eligible to play this competition. The payment link can be found HERE:

The pool will be split as per the original ODC with 1st receiving 60% of the pool, 2nd receiving 25% of the pool and finally 3rd place receiving 15% of the pool.

The custom map list which will be used/allowed for selection in the grand final map choices are as follows:
*mp_reach_final -
*mp_dahman_b2 -
*mp_construction -
*mp_ravens -
*mp_inferno -
*mp_smalltownx -

All of these can be downloaded on CyberGamer via the links provided, ensure any players in your team that is participating have the maps downloaded and installed into the correct directories before the competition begins.

EAC will be used as the Anti-Cheat for the duration of this comp but users will also have to /record every match just in case there are any disputes to be made, in which all players from that match must submit a demo. Full details on this client are detailed below for those who are unfamiliar with this.

CyberGamer runs off AEST GMT+10 (daylight time).

*Round 1 will have a starting time from 1-2PM.
*Dinner break will be roughly around 7-8PM giving everyone a break before the finals.
*The current CGo match rules apply. Disregarding a few things that don't apply to league mode, like software information/rules and the other inclusions of EAC requirements as detailed b...

Teams have 15 minutes to get a minimum of 4 players in the server to start the game. You cannot play a game with 3 players. If a team has 3 players in the server at any point during the match, they have 5 minutes to get a 4th back in (in case of a lag out etc).
The opposing team may elect to wait longer or reschedule the game and we appreciate your good sportsmanship, but you are not required to and may forfeit the other team if you disagree at the 15 minute mark (unless they have a player on their way [like literally connecting within the next 2 minutes]).

If a team agrees to wait and then goes back on the decision and the opposing team provides proof (demo usually best) and the other team tries to get the free win from a forfeit, they will be forfeited themselves for bad sportsmanship/bad conduct.

Forfeits are to be entered as 16-0 (not 1-0)

IF for some reason a match server goes down during a round (such as an accidental double booking), that round is not counted. Please contact your designated CG League Admins to get the server fixed or a different CG server organized.

Any player competing in CGi, CGm or CGa cannot compete for a CGo team because CGo is the pre-requisite for entering CGa from now on. If a player is found to be smurfing for a CGo team that CGo team will be dropped from the ladder and that player will receiv...

CGi / m / a Sound Blaster Leagues going up tonight

user

Once the last FFYI game is over, the final spot for CGi will be decided and I will be resetting what is now the Draft Comp ladder to the CGi / m / a ladder

All teams will be put into a waiting pool, the CGi teams will be moved into CGi by me (so SQL get ready to sign up, as everyone else is already on there).

Archaic, Fray, Legacy, auRa, Out of the Ordinary, SQL, Immunity and the winner of the FFYI.

All the teams in CGm will be moved into CGm

ezMODE, GGunit, Team Hostile, resistaNce Gaming, [SYF] Gaming, HYPE Gaming, rushhh, Versus Gaming, mousefusion (or whatever they are called now), and the loser of the FFYI.

CGa teams will stay in the waiting pool - anyone can sign up to play, but I will be choosing the teams (If you competed in Draft you are in). It will either be 16 teams, or 32 teams if there is enough interest (no in between).

Entry Fee for the league will be as follows
CGi: $150 per team
CGm: $100 per team
CGa: $50 per team

This season of Cybergamer CoD4 is proudly sponsored by Sound Blaster, and there will be prize money allocated to each three leagues on top of the entry fees (I *think* its $1500, but it might be more, so it might go, CGi +$1000, CGm +$350 CGa +$150 (or something like that)

The Ladder will kick off as soon as possible. I will work out with the other admins whether the ladder can be administered to start while Myself and Virol are in New Zealand, if not it will start after I get back (around the 12th-13th of July).

The ladder format will most likely be

Promod Live 2.07 AU/NA (Punkbuster Off)
Easy Anti Cheat Client:

knockout_mr15 or knockout_mr12 (undecided as of yet)
7 Week format (1 match per week for CGi and CGa; CGm will have 2 matches in some weeks)
Standard Competition Maps (Backlot, Crash, Citystreets, Crossfire, Strike)
New Roster Change Rules (TBD, but a team must retain 50% of their original sign up roster to compete, there will most likely be specific times of the week where changes can be made.
Mandatory /record; Upload upon request: Aside from 'disputes', we will be doing random checks for wait binding and just doing a general canvas every now and again.

It is up to every player in CGi/m/a to remove themselves from their CGo team before the ladder starts. You can still compete until then. Any players found to still be in a team or with an aliased account will be suspended for smurfing for a week and miss out on a CGi/m/a matc...

COD ODC#2!!! - SIGN UP

user

Ok Ladies,

With the State or Origin drawing to an end, and the Draft Comp just about wrapped up, We dont want you guys to get BORED with CG whilst we wait for the CGi/CGm & CGa leagues to start. So what can we do to fill the short void? Well Exams are nearly over for the Uni-Students, and Holidays are coming up for those of you still in school.

Will people take a short break from Online Gaming?

What can CG Cod4 DO for YOU without IMPEDING on your HOLIDAYS?

I got it..... CYBERGAMER CALL OF DUTY 4 ONE DAY COMP VERSION 2!!!!! or for the elites (CG COD4 ODC2).

So the very 1st ODC went pretty well, most teams happy with the outcome and wanting MOAR, but lets spice it up this time... Should we play HQ? nah..... should we play Hard Core mode? ewwwww, should we make it SnD with match_mr20 so games go for HOURS.... how did i even come up with that.... I KNOW

ODC2 will be CUSTOM MAPS ONLY!!!!

So im not in the mood to be yelled and screamed at, so lets make this a COMMUNITY BASED INITIATIVE. Im not going to pick the maps, You guys are gonna suggest them, and then TAKE IT TO A VOTE!

So what are you waiting for? Without reading everyone's mind we need to set a DATE FOR THE ODC. Something that ties in well with everyone's agendas, So go ask your team mates.. whats the best day, Vote on it and then VOTE FOR YOU DAY HERE:

Then do the same thing with your clan mates, and put forward your Custom Map Suggestions HERE:

And finally once your finished, Gather up FIFTY DOLLARS thats $50 or a pineapple, and register your TEAM to play in the ODC2 Custom Map Comp HERE:

HOW WILL THE MONIES BE SPLIT BUT?

1st - 60% of Pool
2nd - 25% of Pool
3rd - 15% of Pool

Once you have registered your team, AND you have 5 players in the team - you will be pushed in to the ODC2 league area (if you really want to hurry it up, LET ME KNOW). At this time, you can then PAY YOUR ENTRY FEE

The Competition will be run on the NO DATE SET UNTILL YOU VOTES REMEMBER?, and will run all day depending on the number of teams that sign up - so please be aware that you will need to organise enough players for the day, or ensure your availability accordingly. It will be run under Double Elimination rules, with exception to the final - the unbeaten team will not hold a second...

CG MW2 SnD FINALS TIME

user

CyberGamer MW2 SnD Finals

Well its been an interesting first season for CG MW2 (No Dedicated Servers, No Mod Tools, Hackers etc) but after all the community has been through 2 teams have risen above the rest to battle it out for the "CyberGamer MW2 SnD Season 1 Championship" *breath*

So which team is going to take this one out?

Xlayer Legion or xL:
Roster:
dippa - genx - Carnage - Drache - Jarek

The xL team definitely have the scorecard to show why they are currently seeded #1,

W/L For Against Opponent
W 2 1 Team Renegade
W 13 11 Delta Brotherhood
W 16 13 mousebound
W 13 7 Incorporated Fast Forward
W 13 11 juGG-anaut Gaming
W 13 10 Mammif eSports
W 1 0 virtual eXtremists
W 1 0 Team Renegade
W 13 7 excessuM# Intense
W 13 2 Elite-Noobz
W 13 0 Vatos Locos
W 13 7 Fighting 4 Freedom
W 1 0 team DAWG
L 0 1 Rage Per Minute
W 17 14 Serenity Now`
L 5 19 Team Renegade
W 1 0 Brutal Killers: Team 1

With a massive 15 wins vs 2 loses over the season this is why they are here tonight..... but will there statistics be enough to stop the likes of their opponents?

Fighting For Freedom or F4F:
Roster: topguN - souljah - dannyG - revel - saamo

Team F4F are the favored pick to take out season 1 with despite getting off to a rocky start have managed to tear apart every team they have faced since they started to focus more on MW2.

W/L For Against Opponent
W 2 0 juGG-anaut Gaming
W 13 5 - star.*
D 0 0 Prodigy Gaming -
W 13 2 Chaos Karachi
D 0 0 Armed And Ready
W 13 0 Soldiers of Freedom: Team 1
W 1 0 Optix-Snipers
W 13 7 [AXiS] Gaming
W 1 0 GayFish
W 13 11 Grievous Bodily Harm
W 1 0 Soldiers Of The Fallen
W 1 0 The Vulcan Legion
L 0 1 Drunk and Deadly

Team F4F's scorecard speaks for itself, so can they continue their streak?

That's for you to see for yourself! With the match being SHOUTCASTED by our friends at Gamestah, in conjunction with Live Feed brought to you by the CG MW2 Ref Team (Neon), its tipped to be the biggest game we have seen yet.

So buffer up the audio feed and watch the stream LIVE and all theres left to do is... GAME ON

Call of Duty Draft Comp Team Introductions

user

2010 has already seen the unexpected resurgence of Call of Duty 4. Whilst the previous year held no competition of notable worth for the game, 2010 has already seen the One Day Competition and MSi Summer Comp played out where both competitions saw the rise of newly formed teams unexpectedly take out these events and the prizes included. In the One Day Comp, Frenetic Array comfortably secured 1st placed whilst auRa, a previously unheard of team upset the seasoned Qlimax-Crew to take out 2nd position. The MSi Summer Comp presented an interesting complexity, not only did it include these newer sides in terms of both the age of the teams and the point from where the players had started to play the game, it also saw the return of the veterans and in most instances retired CoD4 teams in the form of Team Immunity, [0utKasT], Sequential Gaming & clicK!.It was the results of the MSi Summer Cup that have re-defined which teams and which individuals are perceived as the best. The Grand Final of the Summer Cup saw Archaic Esports accomplish a milestone that no other team had been able to do in three seasons of CGi, and that was to defeat Team Immunity at an online level. In the same competition, Archaic Esports managed to also take down the team most thought to be their main competition, Frenetic Array, and it is for this reason that Archaic Esports are undoubtedly the team to beat, and for their successes in the MSi Summer Cup they are described by many as the best in Australia.Whilst each member of Archaic had played CoD4 actively at some point in the past year, Team Immunity were only given a few weeks to firstly find a 5th player and then attempt to achieve a level of playing ability that can match that of their past. The upcoming CyberGamer Draft Competition provides Team Immunity with a chance for redemption if they are both active and committed.
This is however by no means a two team competition, by the time the competitions start 32 teams will have payed up $50, and especially for the newer mid-range teams they will all be scrimming and practicing hard in an attempt to regain and make on their money. Besides the two favorites, the competitions roster contains very capable teams in the form of GGunit, dEMiZE & resistaNce , all of whom have the capability to push the top teams. I have also conducted basic interviews with 2-3 of the top teams from each group which will be presented over the next few pages which have allowed the team captains to introduce themselves, their teams and discuss how they think the competition will pan out.
It is as always quite important, specifically with this particular competition to recognize the contributions of the Admins and Organizers. In this instance, Sensuki is effectively running all aspects of the competition single handedly (with a minor amount of technical assistance from Asterix) so the success and communal participation that will be found in the competition should be accredited to Sensuki and his administration team.
