Player Rules
Player management is responsible for ensuring all players understand and follow these rules set forth by the Cyber Gamer League. Violation of any requirement listed here will result in the suspension of the offending player(s) as well as other match penalties as determined by league administrators. If you do not understand these rules clearly, it is YOUR responsibility to seek clarification from a league official.
Player Knowledge
Players are responsible that they know, and understand all the rules. It is also their responsibility to check the rules often to see if there are any changes.

All players are expected to check the division news often (daily is best), and to fully understand them. If you have any questions regarding them, you should contact your game or division official.

Not "knowing" will never be an accepted excuse.

Screenshots
Screenshots are taken using the "Print Screen" key on the keyboard. Players must take a screenshot of the "Total Score" tab at the end of each match and must keep these screenshots for the entire season. If a dispute is filed and a player refuses to submit their screenshot, the match will be overturned and suspension/expulsions may occur.

Replays
Players must save a replay for every match played and must keep these replays for the entire season. If a dispute is filed and a player refuses to submit their replay, the match will be overturned and suspension/expulsions may occur.

Match Information
Player Agreements
No agreement can ever exist between two players to play a CG match in violation of official CG rules.

Please note that this section is relevant only to situations regarding competing players, score reports, and other substantial issues and will not be applied to commonplace, "harmless" adjustments.

Delay of Match
The first game must begin within 20 minutes of the agreed start time. A player who does not show up at this time will forfeit the match unless his opponent is willing to reschedule.

Breaks
Players may take up to 5 minutes between games to rest or tend to any personal needs. Players that take longer than necessary or abuse this grace period may be subject to a forfeit loss and/or suspension.

Factions
Person defneding their posistion on the ladder shall play Axis first round, then switch to Allies. If a match must be decided by a third round, player with most accumulated Victory Points is allowed to choose their faction

Winning
The winner of the match will be determined by a best of three games format. The third game should not be played if it cannot affect the outcome of the match

Players
Relic Online Profile Names
Players must use the same profile name for every game in which they participate. Every player must have a valid Relic Online profile name to compete in CG. This profile name must be the same as that used within CG, or if this is not possible please list your Relic Online name within the biography section of you profile. The format should be 'COH profile name: MyProfileName'

Player Inactivity/Hiatus
The league will not observe leave of absence from the league unless a compelling reason can be provided to an admin. Three forfeit losses without notification will result being set to inactive status and removed from the league. You must contact an admin to have your player reset back to active status.

Unacceptable Player Names
Player names including, but not limited to, the following will not be tolerated: profanity, hateful to any race, sex, or religious group, condone drug use, or general vulgarity. Players found to have an offensive name will have 1 of 2 things done: (1) placed inactive until the name is changed or (2) have CG select an appropriate name for them.
Servers

Player/Team Name
It would be appreciated if you were to name your 1v1 ladder name, the same name as either your CG profile or your Relic Online Username.

Connection

Lag Issues
Within the first minute of the game, if players experience periodic game freezes or slowdowns, players are encouraged to lower their graphics settings and restart the game, or make a substitute.

If all of the above fails and one or both players are unwilling to continue with the match then a 0-0 result should be entered. If one or more rounds has been completed prior to the match ending please lodge a dispute provided the scores of the completed and partly completed rounds. An admin will then determine the result.

Disconnections
If a player unintentionally disconnects before the third minute of a game, the game is to be restarted with the same settings and player factions. Beginning at the 3:00 minute mark, if a player disconnects the game will continue as a two versus one. If the remaining player disconnects, the game is forfeited. When starting the next game, two versus two play is once again mandatory.

Players receive only one disconnect per match prior to the third minute - should the player disconnect before the third minute, the round restarted, and the same player disconnects again, the match is forfeited.
In the case that both players disconnect at the same time during a match then the round should be restarted if the VP difference is equal to or less than 150 points. If the VP difference is greater than 150 points then the scores stand for that round. i.e. if player A is leading player B 500 to 450 victory points then the round must be restarted. If player A is leading player B 500 to 200 victory points then the round will be finished with the score 500 - 200.

In the event of multiple disconnections of all players and a player is unwilling to continue then the match should be reported as 0-0 by both players.

Screenshots must be taken and replays must be saved even in the event of a disconnection.

Connection Issues
If players can't connect to each other, Hamachi may be used if both players agree to its use; however the preferred method of playing matches is through Relic Online. If Hamachi isn't used and/or if players still can't connect to each other, a 0-0 score should be reported.

Restrictions
There will be NO restrictions on game play. There will be no buffer time to allow players to build up and then attack - rushes are allowed.

In-Game Techniques
Any in-game technique is allowed except those of which are an exploit (for instance, incomplete tank traps). The final say in this matter will be up to the league admins.
If there is uncertainty surrounding a technique please contact a cybergamer COH admin to clarify it validity.

Vote kicking
Vote kicking a player from the game for any reason is prohibited.

Cheating
There will be no tolerance for cheating. If a player is found cheating, they will be immediately banned for one year.
Maps
A random map will be chosen X minutes before the match and displayed on CG
The player hosting the match must then host the match with the according settings and map

Account abuse
Players may not intentionally or unintentionally give out their account information to other players. The person who creates a player account on Relic Online is considered to own that account and should be the sole person using that account.

Violations
Disputes are a serious issue and will not be taken lightly.

Disputes
Like in any sport, disputes or "play reviews" are taken very seriously in CG.

Disputes are not a public matter and should only be handled by an admin. Posting disputes on public media may result in the suspension of offending player(s). A link will be provided for disputed players to upload demos and screenshots.

Contacting multiple admins regarding the same dispute outside of the appeal process will not be tolerated. Abuse of dispute procedures may result in the suspension of the disputing player.

Dispute Conduct
It is not permissible to make intentional false accusations against a player. Retaliatory, bogus, or otherwise unreasonable disputes may result in the suspension of the disputing player.

General Disputes
Because of the broad range of subjects of general disputes, a wide variety of evidence may be required to expedite your dispute. This evidence includes but is not limited to, screenshots, replays, chat logs, server logs, emails, etc. Players will have a maximum of 48-hours to provide convincing evidence to support their case. A disputed player will also have 48-hours to provide evidence supporting his case. Failure to provide evidence on the part of the disputing player will result in the closing of the dispute ticket. Failure to provide requested evidence on the part of the disputed player may result in suspension.

Cheating Disputes
A disputed player will receive a CG Private Message from an admin requesting his demos and screenshots. The disputed player will have 48-hours to upload his evidence in a .ZIP or .RAR format to a provided URL. Should a disputed player fail to upload said evidence according to instruction within this timeframe, or the evidence be found to be incomplete or corrupt, the match will be overturned and the offending player will receive a suspension.

Rule Violations
Players who violate any rules may be subject to disciplinary action. This includes the specific penalties listed, such as suspensions, forfeits, replays, removal from the league, and loss of points. CG reserves the right to modify suspension lengths at any time without notice. Habitually disruptive players may be purged from the league.

Changes
The CyberGamer reserves the right to modify the rules as needed. This includes changes due to software updates or releases, competition committee decisions and all other changes deemed necessary to the league. Players should check the rules on a regular basis and prior to every match to ensure they are in complete compliance. Players must understand that the rules listed are guidelines that CG will use to try and ensure fair and competitive play and are subject to interpretation by the CG admins based on the spirit of the rule and game.
